FREE traffic methods VS Paid traffic methods which is the best?

Let's look at paid Traffic methods first:

1. Adfly
2. GetSubscribers.com
3. Adwords

These are all paid versions and can get you some traffic in greater numbers faster to your sites, opt-ins etc.

Now you have to remember that not everyone has the budget for paid methods in the first place so this isn't even an option for most people especially when they are first starting out.

Now for FREE methods:

1. Forums - Join several related to your niche and be constantly active and helpful and makesure to leave a signature back to your squeeze page

2. Articles - You can do so many things with an article once you have written one (very powerful)

3. Classified ads - Look at how others are promoting there ads and tweek it to your original style

4. List swaps - great for getting traffic and building your list but probably more useful when you have already gained a few hundred subscribers first

5. Becoming a contributor - Again this is a great way of getting free traffic but you have to send some traffic to the site you are contributing to also. This is where already having some decent numbers already on your list can come in handy.

So what is the final conclusion?

No one can really tell you which is the best until you have tried them for yourself.

If you track your traffic correctly then you can decide what works best for you and just roll with the best traffic sources.

I am sure that anyone can find enough success with any of the above if they are willing to at least give them a go!

Hope this helps anyone.

Paid traffic stops when you stop paying. Traffic from SEO does not.

Paid traffic also starts when you start paying, and traffic from SEO does not.

      In other words:

      You can control paid traffic.

      Hmm. Is control... good?

To take that one step further-

With paid traffic you can know within HOURS how well your sales page or squeeze page is converting.

With SEO you can be waiting for weeks or months to find out.

However, it is remiss of us not to call out that some business models do not need to know this.

It is entirely possible to have a successful online business without a single squeeze page or sales page, or even to be better-served by a complete lack of control over the traffic.

The question about whether control is good was not rhetorical. A business model may actually benefit by not controlling the traffic.

          • It is better to use free traffic methods because they will bring you more SEO benefits in the long run. Forum posting, social media, article marketing and other free strategies will generate organic traffic and boost your search engine rankings.

IF you don't have the time then go with paid traffic, else go with the free traffc, which i can consider it more cleaner and better for your rankings.

For niches I got great traffic from offline campaigns too, and it's so much cheaper than Adwords, just think outside the box.

i don't agree completely because seo competition were fierce too, you should consistensy build backlink to remain into holy grail position and this would cost you a lot especialy if your niche were very competitive, once you hit search engine penalty for overoptimation you lost traffic. Paid traffic is for faster promotion and exposure.

If you have a well optimized funnel, I'd say go for paid traffic. It allows you make much more in less time to and if you have developed a strong long-term strategy, you would have no problem investing your returns for larger earnings.

And yes, free traffic is hardly scalable.

Paid Traffic= Your money work for your business

I prefer Paid Traffic. It gives faster results, scalable, and easier than free traffic...

You don't need to wait for certain mount of time to see the result, and if your campaign profitable you just need to pour more money to the campaign to get more sales.

Paid traffic- Google ads is probably the most reliable, I tend to find so many others are really hit and miss. A groupon if you can cope with it, but that is a bit of a gamble so be very careful

It's based on your own concentration.
If you have skill in paying PPC then it will be effective for you and,
if you are good in SEO then just go with it.
PPC gives instant and short term result while SEO gives longer time result but it will be good for long term

  • Just a quick overview...

Although this doesn't ALWAYS apply, I tend to see it generally as:

Paid Traffic - great as a short term strategy

    while you build

Free Traffic - as a long term strategy

    That's just my 0.02c

The best method in my opinion is combining free with paid traffic, which is good on short and long term.

    Articles, forums, blogs.
When you stop paying to adf.ly they will stop sending you traffic.
When you stop posting at forums, all the previous post will keep sending traffic to your site (:
    Think about it..

Paid or non-paid, how targeted it is is more important.

Paid will get you results faster, and free traffic takes a lot of work. They both have their advantages and disadvantages but for anyone with money and expertise, paid is pretty much always the way to go(unless you outsource the free methods).

I'm guessing it depends more on how well you market. If your marketing skills are great, then you should get the free traffic. But if your not that good at driving traffic to your site without help then paid traffic is what you need until you get better.

A mixture of both I think is always a good thing.
