100s of subscribers on FIRST APRIL

Hi everyone,

One guy I know cooked up a fake idea and got many to signup to his list on First April. He framed a nice and attractive LIE and lots of people jumped on his list and the first mail he sent read "APRIL FOOL" both in subject and the body.

Do you think that list will make him money?

    Using only the information you have provided, who knows?

    I'd say that personally though, if someone pulled a joke like that to get me on their list, I would make my decision to stay based on how good the joke was. If I can look back at it and say "yeah, you got me pretty good", then that marketer will have my respect.

    I like a comedic approach though, so it might not go over as well with a lot of other people.
