Ok I am not bragging whatsoever, I just want others to share this amazing moment because we all enjoy it once in our lives. I have successfully flipped my very first niche site. The site included a sales page, ebook, download page, and affiliates page. Here is a link to the SitePoint auction: ?EasyBeginnerMarketing.com? - Hot Work At Home Niche! - ClickBank Ready! Thanks for the support, I am so happy right now! -Christian |

Ok I will elaborate! This was my first time and I actually got really lucky! I mainly outsourced most of my work. First I figured out a niche and went with the Work at Home niche, which sells well especially right now. I got with a friend from Minisitedesignz.com and he did the graphics free of charge. Now he can't do that for everyone, but he is really cheap! I found a writer to write me an ebook for a measly 100 bucks! As for the sales page, I also got lucky and found a WSO offering sales copy for 50 bucks. After gathering all of the stuff I threw it all in Dreamweaver and customized everything to my liking. Then listed it on SitePoint.com and it sold... I know this is brief, so if anyone has any specific questions, just ask! Thanks, -Christian |

Hey Christian, Congrats on the flip. After reading the salespage I was thinking to myself that you may have been better off keeping this and driving some traffic to it and getting some affiliates for it. I'll bet you'd make a lot more than $397 for a little bit of effort getting targeted traffic. I'm just sayin |

I totally agree and you're right. However, I did it for one reason and one reason only. That was to flip a website. Most importantly, based on your comment, that means I did my job! -Christian Quote:

| Awesome! Great job on your first flip. In my opinion, I think you did everything right when it comes to flipping Start-up websites. The feeling is addicting, you'll be flipping tons more sites soon! Your sitepoint listing is executed perfectly! Did you follow anyones guides/e-books, etc on how to do this site flip? |

Well I really followed Kate Anderson around a bit (kinda weird I know). Seriously though, I took advice from her and just basically did exactly what she did. I recently picked up her Flip Mastery course, which I highly recommend! -Christian |

I agree with Jason that you could/should have hung on to it. Then again you had a goal so ... GREAT job. Plus you turned a nice little profit a couple of those a week on top of some other profit pulling ventures and you are rolling. Cheers |

I have a question. How do you get paid once you have sold a site. I live in South Africa and I do not have a credit card or a Pay pal account. If I was to flip a site, how will I get paid? |

Christian, You did a fantastic job with this auction. I will say though, that your unique ebook was quite lengthy (65 pages) so I suggest if you are outsourcing this, that you slim it down a bit if you are going to stick at the current BIN price range..anything 40 pages or so will still yield the same results, and it will save you time and/or money. Love your auction copy, btw! :P Keep it up, kiddo.. Quote:

Congratulations! You inspired me to put up my first site auction on SitePoint after reading your post today. I have purchased domains and sites from SP, but never tried to sell one there. Despite the lack of any copy, I had two ask for the buy it now price within five minutes of posting. Probably due to the quality of the domain(s) and the web site. I think I'll see what happens with the auction for a bit before deciding on a "buy it" price. |

Awesome job. I just bought Kate's course after reading this post. I'm interested in flipping some niche sites/eBay Wordpress sites. I agree with Jason that for creating ClickBank product type site you would make more keeping the site. It would a good case study. Make two following that model. Flip one. Keep the other. See what the bottom line looks after a few months. |

Biggy Fat, I have a question about your post, if I may. I also just started flipping sites. I've sold 8 of them in the past 10 days. Most of the time I've just been happy. After 9 months of struggling online, I finally found what works for me. However, in the last couple of days, this thought keeps creeping into my mind; "Will it last?" What I'm worried about, and hopefully this is just a personality quirk in me, is that soon people will stop buying sites and blogs, or maybe Sitepoint will go out of business, or... and the list goes on and on. Is site flipping a new thing, or has it been around for a while? And, is it going to continue to be a means of a full-time income?

I highly doubt SitePoint will go out of business. There will ALWAYS be a demand for websites, especially through these very tough economic times when people are looking for income. And yes, as long as you stand out from the crowd, it CAN and WILL be a full time income for years to come.

Hello Christian, Excellent job and thanks for posting your description/background of what you did leading up to the SitePoint auction. This is exactly the kind of thing people love to hear about, because you took an idea from start to finish. Next would be the "rinse and repeat" step to reproduce your result and multiply the income stream. Just wanted to ask a few questions since this is fresh in your mind. 1.) What was your timeline? Curious to know if the entire process (first idea, research, outsourcing, auction listing, getting paid, post sales support) took a couple of months or if you did it all in a week? 2.) Where did you get the initial funding for your project? I was thinking this was simply money you had saved up or credit cards. But you also mentioned having friends who helped out by doing some stuff for free. 3.) Did you keep track of your expenses and income on a spreadsheet? Just wanted to know if we could use you as a real life case study at the Warrior Forum. Maybe you used other tools besides spreadsheets, like project management software or just pencil and paper. Wow! You know this might be a perfect fit for a simple business plan. Thanks for your inspirational story. |

Hey Christian, Way to go .... well done .... congrats !! It's not bragging if it's done in the way you have done, announced , then opened for questions .... & (importantly) answered them & gave kudos to those who helped/ inspired you. These type of posts inspire people. Lots of people just "lurk" on Forums (looking but not posting) & this is "proof" that these methods really work if you ..... just DO it ! Onwards & Upwards .... |
