WP Theme Decision: Optimizepress alone or w/Thesis?

yep, I'm the new kid, setting up a blog site to drive traffic for member streaming videos and some download sales, plus a forum someday. I need your wisdom and insights- should I use Optimizepress alone or as a sub-domain with a more flexible theme like Thesis?
Also I'm thinking WishList and paypal for membership and product sales. Advice?

    Personally I would just make a start.. use a free theme if you need to, the good thing about wordpress is that it is so easy to change :-)

    Just keep adding content and value to your site and only add on the extras and plugins as and when you see a need to.

    Lots of people ask me what plugins I use... the best advice is if you dont know you need it you probably dont....

    Yep I agree with Danny.

    What do you need Optimize Press for now anyway? From what you are saying, you don't need it yet.

    I'm using Thesis and I like it for its customization features. You can choose between 1 or 2 sidebars, you can set the width of all sections, choose how many blog posts you want to feature, customize colors etc. I think it's very handy, and on top of that if you decide at any stage you want a more customized look you can get a custom design done for Thesis.

    Currently I'm using a simple header for one of my blogs here English Harmony | Improve Spoken English | English Confidence System and it works just fine!

    For sales I use DHGuard - it's a download software - and it works perfectly with PayPal and it also integrates with iDevaffiliate so I think it's the perfect solution.
