How to Sell $2000 courses

I decided to post this thread because I saw a lot of people asking about how to sell high priced products and it made me think for a minute. Obviously, you have to have a high value product but most of the time I also see people saying you have to be a big name.

Not only don't you need to be a big name but your product doesn't really have to be earth shattering either. The price of the product itself will make it seem more or less valuable by its self. And when you ask for a high price and deliver pretty good quality, then you will start building up a name.

A great example of not needing to have a big name is a warrior named Russ Ruffino. He launched his first big clickbank product a few months back and just a couple of weeks ago he was offering a list building and internet marketing course for $5000.

The product quality must be good but you don't have to break any records. Frank Kern once justified selling a binder for $300 as part of his package by calling it a "storage system".

The most important part of selling a high priced product, from what I have noticed through the products that I have, is to ask for the money. (DUH MIKE!!!) Most marketers are to afraid to price their product that high but when you start a real world business you would expect to at least pay a few thousand dollars to learn how to get your business up and running successfully.

If you charge so high, you have to back it up. I wouldn't buy anything worth even $1000 if I had to go through one of those clickbank sales pages. Your page has to scream quality and reliability.

Selling a product worth $2000 is the same as selling a $20 one. You just need to promote in the right areas. Hang out at the places where people with that particular problem are willing to spend thousands to get rid of it. Basically, you need to stop promoting anywhere and everywhere, and limit your marketing only to the most elite groups. Such groups, I say it from my own experience, are incredibly difficult to narrow down.

Another problem which you face is the fear of online transactions. Many people are scared of making such huge online transactions. It isn't so in the IM/MMO niche, but outside of those two, people have second thoughts before getting their credit card. You can tackle that problem by fragmenting the payment. Making it installment based, spanning over 4-6 months.

Offer value and people shall buy. Volumes may not be the same for a product worth $200 and one priced at $2000 but sales will come in. What matters is what you have inside the product and whether buyers fell that it was worth the 2k.

Haha yeah I remember watching that video a few years back when he said that. Apparently his buddies ripped the piss out of him for.

...Still banked though so that says something.
