Do You Worry About Where Your Next Sale Will Come From!?

This is a common problem amongst young or newbie marketers.

Worrying about where you next sale is going to come from is important if you are full time marketer if all your marketing efforts puts food on the table and pays your bills.

You need to have a proper system in place, and traffic source as well.

Posting a few blog comments, or forum comments with a sig link may give you say $200 a week in profits...but that is no way to keep the sales rolling in. You need to spend countless hours posting away whilst keeping your fingers crossed you are reaching the right people who are somehow going to buy what you are offering.

You are better off sending highly targeted traffic to an opt in pages and giving them results in advance and then doing the soft sell with some nice high quality auto responder messages. That will generate some good results.

In other words "Only invest your time and energy in people and tasks that are going to give you sales consistently over and over"

I have hung around the big dogs in marketing, and these guys are NOT making $100 a week in sales with crappy article marketing. These are the guys that spend big money on PPC, PPV, CPA Media buys and know what works and what brings in sales every day, each day. Even while they asleep, they know they will wake up in the morning to their inbox's saying "YOU JUST MADE A SALE!" ......"YOU JUST MADE A SALE!".........."YOU JUST MADE A SALE!"

They do not go to bed wondering where there next sale is going to come from tomorrow, or the week ahead. These are the pros that already know and understand what activities they must engage in that take care of themselves. They take care of todays needs, but at the same time know they need to allocate time, money and energy to make sure future sales are a guarantee.

IF you are not doing this, you will find that slowly, as time goes on the web of destruction will come down hard upon you without you even realizing it

You are gambling away your future and financial stability for DAY-TO-DAY results. It is not a good situation you want to put yourself in, and the wrong mentality.

To be really good at marketing and selling stuff online, you must get past that whole mentality of going to bed at night with no real knowing where your next sale will come from!!!

IF you do not overcome this problem, you remain in that state of survival. Living day by day and living by just making ends meet. You are just basically in SURVIVAL MODE, or doing what is necessary to get by. That is not what it means to be a successful online entrepreneur!!!

If you are selling stuff online or offline, you need to realize that your sales today, and tomorrows guaranteed sales is what will set you apart from the others.

Just think if you are selling stuff offline, you need to get sales today, and already have appointments set up for tomorrow. Because if you haven't got appointments set up for tomorrow, you are not increasing the chances of getting more sales, thus you are failing and back in SURVIVAL mode I was talking about.

IF you are reading this, and thinking to yourself, this is me. Then I suggest you go back and read this again, and try and work out ideas on how you can MOVE OUT OF THIS SURVIVAL MODE you are currently in.

The most important part of this is realize that from today onwards you need to be focusing ALL YOUR TIME and ALL YOUR ENERGY in people, and tasks that will bring in sales consistently not only today, but tomorrow and the weeks ahead.

Hope this helps

I agree with you that big dogs don't go to sleep thinking when my next sale is going to come. But it is not always about PPC, PPV and CPA media buys"

For example, lots of people build their lists until they are big enough to take off and all they have to do is emailing that list over and over while providing VALUABLE content and they are good to go.

Yea, they will have from time to time to advertise to get new prospects but it is not a *REQUIREMENT* for success, I guess.

Great post, I really enjoyed reading it

The thing is, I did give away a big hint.

Creating a business is not just about creating a site and sales page.

It is about creating something that is your asset, and something real and tangible. When I built a list of prospects and buyers list also my whole life changed. So did my business. That is the power of sending a bit of text to thousands of people and seeing money come to your inbox almost within minutues.

You can do this day or night. It is powerful, but you have something in your possesion that is like milk and honey. You have a list, and nuture that list you have something today, tomorrow, next week and 10 or 20 years from now.

The other element to this, is test and tweak everything you have and get targeted traffic into your funnels. If you do not do this, you are wasting your time online.

        Couldn't agree more

Actually I am in the process now of taking action (After having stopped for a while and lost all my online income) and my first goals are:

        1) Provide VALUE to the people I am targeting in my niche
        2) Build a list

I think that will give me a long-term success, if I implemented it right and took action.

Otherwise, as I've said before, great thread

Most people don't spend time on high ROI tasks, so they end up doing tasks that are less effective or even worse ineffective.

If you are not spending at least 60% of your time with driving leads or making sales, you will never get to where you want to go.

It is a business, and because it is a business you have to understand that the only way to succeed long term is by making consistent sales.

I think sales motivate people to go the extra mile and work even more progressively. It's hard to take consistent action if you are not getting any sales and if your dream sucks.

But once you got your mindset right and work progressively, things will start to pick up for you.

You are so very right. Little focused effort = little income and vice versa. Once you get in the mindset way PAST survival to THRIVING, FIND A SYSTEM that produces daily results and build and build and build. It is those who are persistently taking FOCUSED action that produce the greatest results. The internet is like a software candy shop for those of us that love to learn.

Build a list that Google or no one else can take away from you. Teach what you would like to know and when people know you care about them, you will be successful.

You keep on posting these lectures under a false name,
but despite being asked in numerous threads to show some
kind of proof you're qualified to make these claims, you've just ignored these requests.
It's all very easy to write this sort of post,
But let's see some proof you are the expert you make yourself out to be.

Celente! Awsome stuff man. To answer your question,
I focus all my energy on rebillings as my backends,
So even if the stick rate is not high enough it is still better than
A one time sale, don't you think?

Also a good strategy to follow with re-billing/ memberships is:

To stick with a low monthly charge something like $9.99,
Offer a trial. People tend to be too lazy to cancel, forget or not even bother
To cancel!! Everybody can afford $10 a month.
But it ads up and it ads up pretty well!
    Great share, appreciate it.

      Hi Kal,

Membership sites are great! I have several of them, as long as you give your users update high quality stuff they will stick.

I would test prices out to see which one works best, give them a no brainer offer so that it makes it easier for them to say YES.

And remember the numbers, at 9.99 you only need 200 people to say yes, and that is $2000 a month that comes rolling in every month without fail. Yes, ok some of these people might quit, and some of these people will stay, but its a great way to make money over and over again no matter where you are.

Test your prices and offers, and you will find one will work better than the other. Track all this and you should know which way you should go. Hope this helps. Celente.

When people ask me what the single most important thing to do when Internet Marketing is, I say to take action. Many people don't ask what the second most important thing is, but if they did, my answer would undoubtedly be to make sure you don't put all your eggs in one basket. This way when something stops working suddenly which is the case many times in IM, then you won't have to worry where your next sale is coming from.

I would worry, but instead I am focusing on building a list and figuring out how to write copy that gets opt-ins. As has been said before by just about everyone in IM, "the money is in the list". The Big Fish all have massive lists that they mail every day which is what drives their incomes. Give value, build list, monetize, rinse, repeat.

Well I can tell that from your statement there, you are light years ahead of others.

The worst thing is, that I did not realise this or figure this out for a few years online. Once I did, well...lets just say everything changed for me.

The money is not really in the list, it is a human being at the end of your email you are reaching out to. So you can treat them like a friend and give them stuff, and help them and you are likely to get things in return, on of them being money!
