Hi, I have heard this debate time after time with regards to article marketing. Some people say they see an increase in rankings, others say that it doesn't have any effects on rankings but only brings in traffic directly through to your site from the article itself. Does anyone actually have any proof of this? Or is it all speculation, and a case of repeating what you have heard others say? I know some people who have stated that, but only submitted a handful of articles and expected miracles. Others submitted to 'low quality' article directories where they either never get around to approving your article, or they simpy never get crawled so that your back links will not count. I want to hear from people who have submitted at least a couple of unique articles per day. People who have outlined their chosen keword phrases and stuck with those alaternating them throughout their article marketing. People who have done this for at least two months solid. I've decided to put this to bed and actually test this out. I'm going to choose 5 closely related phrases (variations of one main phrase), and use these in the articles. I am then going to submit between 2 -3 unique articles per day. Each article will be submitted to a different article directory. Starting with the top directories. The articles are going to be closely related to the phrases that I will be targeting. I will then be tracking changes in rankings for these keyword phrases over a two month period. As articles are published, I will be using techniques to ensure each article is indexed by Google so the links will count. I'll chart my progress and post the results in here. In the meantime, it would be good to here other peoples views. One of the biggest mistakes I find people make with article marketing, is they don't write a substantial resource box. They write a single line and inclide their anchor link. To give that link more value, you are better off writing a decent keyword rich, descriptive resource box and including your anchor text in the middle. Ensuring that it is surrounded by closely related terms. Andy |

do this.. 1. Go to hubpages.com 2. Post your article 3. Comment on other articles with a high pagerank 4. All links are rel=nofollow except for your username that is posted in the comments. 5. The links from your arthor page to your site are dofollow. This will help your site gain page rank thus help your rankings. Hope this helps |

Hi, thanks for your response, but I know all about hubpages etc. My question was purely about article marketing. ie - article directories, and whether those sites offer value and strength when it comes to back links and search engine rankings. I am just wanting to hear people views on this subject.

Hi, I have found that writing articles does help and so do press releases. You need to be making regular article submissions and look at it as a long term plan. Hope that helps Ian Middleton |

Yes, it does help. I got my first page rankings on Google for the keyword 'affiliate marketing' (pretty competitive) mainly with articles. There is a way to do this right, and today it's even easier than before... It works. Franck |
