Just Introducing myself

Figured that before I started posting questions that i'd give a short introduction.

Ive lurked here for a little while but i'm just really starting in with internet marketing.

Really interested in seo, affiliate marketing, social marketing to drive traffic and just generally anything that will help me to get it popping online. I have a lot of newbie questions that may be common knowledge to most of you but are still a bit foggy to me so if you give me some latitude it'd be appreciated. I'm attempting to put all of these different techniques into a solid plan of action.

Even though I know that I'm not fully informed on how to do this, the Plan is to launch a few sites next week and start learning by trial and error...if I don't I will be studying and ingesting information for the next 5 years.

looking forward to interacting with everybody and learning some good stuff.

    Hey there Wraith. Wishing you the best of luck in your IM endeavours. Remember that no matter how many times people tell you that IM'ing is a breeze and you only need to spend like 50 seconds every day or some other exaggerated number, it really is not.

    You will suffer from stress, depression, doubt, and many urges to quit. But all of this will change once you see your first dollars in your clickbank/paypal/amazon account. Trust me when I tell you that you will NEVER forget the day you received your first sale. You'll be as happy as a stormtrooper who found the droid he was looking for (star wars joke ). And once you see the big bucks start rolling in, you'll realize that it was all worth it in the end (I'm yet to see that though).

    PS. A little advice. Over the coming few days, you will constantly get PM's or e-mails from people who found you through this thread. These guys will try to make a quick buck off you by linking you to hypey products using their affiliate links or by selling their services, (just like I saw when I first started here). Sure some of them will legitimately try and help you out, but a lot will not. So do keep a radar active!

    Good luck learning about IM and the web. I will warn you though that there is a lot of crap products out there and hype, and to be very careful not to listen to it. People are going to tell you things just to try to sell you stuff.

    The worst part about it is that there is more money in selling products to people on how to make money than to actually make money promoting a legitimate site. Be careful and good luck! Remember, provide real value and never try to skimp out on that. That is the only way to really be successful!

    Wow! what a warm welcome.

    I appreciate the words of encouragement and the advice.

    I know that it is hard getting a unbiased review of products because I have seen them on here and every product is absolutely smashing it seems. At this point tho, they will have better luck getting blood from a turnip because I don't have much to spend on anything anyway.

    Looking forward to the actual work process and taking an idea and turning it into money.
