I have a mac powerbook and am looking for the best way to make website buttons. I can find plenty of programs for windows that will make glass effect buttons but nothing for the mac can anyone help.

Just had a little play with it and it seems pretty good but I need to change the size of the button. button builder only allows the width to be changed and not the height. Any other ideas

Do you have Photoshop or Fireworks? There are a lot of tutorials for creating shiny buttons in those. More so for Photoshop though.

I have photshop but have never really took the time to learn it all seems very complicated. I'm always after the quick fix when really I should take the time to learn. I'm sure it would benefit me in the long run.

Anywhere i could look for good photoshop tutorials...

I usually just search Google. I can't remember any specific ones I use. I just usually do a search when I need something specific and see who has the best tutorial for what I'm trying to achieve. Usually it's a different site every time.

Alfardo: Why not try Photoshop Elements? It's a scaled down version of Photoshop that does just about everything Photoshop does, but has a much easier learning curve.

I use an older version of Elements and it is great. You can resize images (including buttons); add effects such as glass buttons, and so much more. To resize and image you just select the 'image' 'resize' link from the menu and type in the dimensions you want.

I also use phixr.com - it is a free online image editor with lots of options and creative effects - you have to upload your original image, but the menu is pretty easy to follow after that.

Another fun 'button' site is here: AAA Buttons - Mac Buttons''

Do a google search for 'Mac Glass Buttons' - you'll find lots of links.
