Default Amazon Affiliate Question

Hi,

I just started a blog, and on it I am promoting some Amazon products. My amazon associates account is all set up, but I have heard that I have to state somewhere on my site that I am an amazon affiliate. Is this true? If so, where should I put this?

Thanks, I just want to make sure that I don't get into trouble.

You can put a little note in the footer or on a separate Terms & Conditions page. Just write out something to the effect of: "Some of my links are affiliate links to Amazon and I might get paid a boatload of commission if you will buy the $1000 necklaces and stuff after clicking my links."

Of course, edit that to suit your needs.

I always put it in a Privacy Page like we are meant to with Adsense but I have seen some sites with Amazon Affiliate partner in the Footer.

Hope this helps

That's what I am hoping will happen! I kind of want to create a site in a niche that targets customers that would actually do that... something to do with rich women haha?

I'll just do that so I don't have to create a full page explaining it.

If you look at Amazon's operating agreement section 10 it will explain it to you,you will need to place the following text on your affiliate disclaimer page

“[Insert your name] is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to [insert the applicable site name (amazon.com, endless.com, smallparts.com or myhabit.com)].”

Just add in your particular information in the insert name part.
