Hello; I started article marketing last month and I have 8 live Ezinearticles which are bringing me around 300 URL clicks per week. The problem is I have no sales so far. I redirected my main URL in the author resource box to clickbank hop link. I wonder why my visitors are not converting. I just check some of the Clickbank sales pages with Internet Explorer 7.0 and found that It taking long time to load the SSL payment page.Is that the reason to no sales? Can you experience down of sales last two weeks? Please help me friends. |

Got any links to your articles? That would help us see where the leaks might be happening! By the way, 300 clicks and no sales is not always unusual. Sales often happen in batches. But without seeing your articles and the correlation between your content and the product you're promoting, it's impossible to tell. Cheers! |

You left out an important stat. How many HOPS did you get out of those 300 clicks?

Please post the links to the articles...then I will be happy to take a look. I agree with other poster, 300 and no sales is not that unusual. Hang in there.

The important number we need to focus on is how many of those clicks turned into HOPS.

you dont need to post your article here, as we can already see you have good ctr. So I think tts because of your squeeze or sales page thats the problem.

Judging from what I've read on these forums, you have nothing to worry about although I do understand your concern. I put my site up about two weeks ago and I've had about 130 visitors and yet only two visitors went ahead and placed orders. So..................anyone got any advice to offer me as well? Thanks in advance |

All 300 clicks are hops to clickbank sales page. I'm Redirecting my domain to clickbank hop link. So as soon as some one clicks the link in my article resource box, the sales page is loading. Now Ezinearticles stats shows 2,228 article views 418 URL clicks and Still NO SALES. Thanks for help... |

It was hard for me to grasp as well, but I did it. Then one day, I had three sales. IN ONE DAY I went from no sales in 300 HOPS to three sales, and I was immediatly at 1% conversion. Dont stop too soon. The next five visitors might make a sale!!! You might want to look over the sales page. Is it a good sales page? Does it look like it will convert? Does it have a mailing list? You might want to try to test a different product in the same niche to see if that page converts. Just start redirecting to that page for a few HOPS to see what happens. If that doesnt work, and you still want to stay in this niche. Create a squeeze page or minisite. Then set up an autoresponder and build a list. Offer a free report of some kind to get people to sign up. Also, mention that in your resource box "visit...for a free.."

A lot of the problem could be the type of niche you are in as well. There are certain niches that the conversions just suck. Sometimes thats just the way they convert. If you find that your still not getting sales after a while you can always turn them into adsense sites.

I've always read: If your not getting clicks on your site, work on your own copy If you aren't getting sales, it could be their sales page copy |

Hey BenFedrick, Did you know that there's another factor that is as important (if not more important) than CTR? You see, the article content and title actually plays an important role in attracting the right crowd to your business. And from what I'm hearing from you, it certainly seems that you're attracting the wrong crowd - you could be attracting what I call the 'readers' crowd, and not the 'buyers' crowd. What's the difference? The 'readers' crowd are just looking for free information as part of their leisure. The 'buyers' crowd are those people suffering from serious migraine banging their heads on the wall, finding solutions to their problems. Does this make sense? You've got to find out where your current niche group's pain is, then focus on writing your title. After all, the title is the first thing that determines which crowd you're attracting. So instead of coming up with simple titles like '7 tips on...', you could come up with 'this is how I..." or "how you can...", suggesting you've got the solution to their problems. Get what I mean? Simply put, the main reason why you've got zero sales is because your article is not targeted at the 'buyers' crowd. So you've got to find out what's causing migraine to the people in your niche group, and not just some weak headache that those people can tolerate with. If you need more help, you could drop me your article link here. I'll take a look and let you know how to improve your article to draw the right crowd. |

here's my take. if you are sending them straight to a sale page after 300 hops it is one of 4 things: 1) your articles have a different message to what is being sold i.e. the story doesn't match or there is a disconnect 2) the sales page sucks 3) the price point of the product stinks 4) there's not enough want for the product here's my system - - start with what your are doing -- test the sales page first with a direct link for about 100 hops (300 is too much IMO) - if it doesn't work determine if it needs a pre-sell to build and stir emotion (my experience is that a killer pre-sell is better than a direct link) if not, cut it if and go to next product. if it does, give the pre-sell a shot. - don't be afraid to kill a product and move onto a next one. Man, once you find a product that converts like crazy you will kick yourself for trying to make a dud work. tyler |
