Wordpress New Updated - Anybody Getting This Problem??

Ever sense I updated to the version 3.3.2 of WordPress, none of my videos on my blog, nor my audio player works. It seems like they are not being downloadable, because when I paste the direct link into my browser, the video plays.

Anybody having this problem or have had this problem before?

Mark

Try disabling the plugins and re-activating them one-by-one. Every time a new release of WP comes out, half the plugins don't work until the authors update them. You might have to spend some time in the plugin repository to find something that works and replacing what you have.

I didn't update my wordpress yet but usually I wait a few days and search on the web what problems have others and when I am sure that all the plugins will work I update it, I have heard many horror stories where after updating to a new version their wordpress site crash so I am always very careful...

That's why you always need to keep backups of your websites and must always take a backup BEFORE performing any upgrade.

As a word to the wise (and this has caught people out many times) - make sure you can restore your backups as well and they work!

Regarding the video - it'll be something in Wordpress has changed and the author hasn't updated the plugin to take that into account. You could poke the plugin author to see when they are doing it, hire someone to do it or find another plugin that does work.

My personal approach is once a site is working, leave it alone and don't upgrade stuff unless it offers a significant feature I need... no point fixing it if it's not broken!

    Cheers
