The Power of Micro Niches Online

I just finished my weekly Skype call with an offline client. She has a brick and mortar shop, but online, we decided to niche down to micro-niches. One of her micro-niche sites -- selling widgets, is further niched down to one wholesaler. The wholesaler is outside of the US and has a wonderful line of handmade widgets. Can you say NANO NICHE?

My client wanted to ask me about opening an Amazon storefront.

It seems that a representative from AMAZON CALLED HER ON THE PHONE and asked her to open an Amazon Shop with those products! Go figure!

Just thought I would share, since I never would have expected Amazon to do something like this. ;-)

I didn't know that Amazon was that proactive in gaining new sellers. It appears that they truly are watching micro niches that are sought by users. If we're wise we'll heed their example and seek opportunity in micro niche marketing as well.

But micro-niches are real risky business, because it is tons harder to get targeted audience and there might not be enough searches on SEO s to make it count. Your friend must be selling pretty well to get on amazon, and I guess she must have a skill or two up her sleeve. After all , the chances is like finding a needle in a stack of hay !

Anyway, congratz to your friend !

I think that thinking outside of the box is imperative... The domain is a year or so old, but the site contents is new.

We built the site using WP and I taught her SEO. We have the keyword in the domain, but combined it with a brand.. so she has several other sites with the same brand but different keywords/products

If she does go the Amazon route, it will be as much about driving traffic to the other sites in the brand as it is about making sales on Amazon

        Wow that's interesting...

I really like amazon...I like just about everything they do...always.

Compare them to companies like Google, eBay, Paypal...and they really shine above and beyond some of the sleazy practices you find at those other big tech companies.

This is just one more example!
