I have a Twitter account with almost 200K. How to make it profitable?

Whats the best way to make it profitable?

I was thinking on making a blog and add some adsense and direct lot of traffic to the site.

What do you think?

I am always suspicious of any Twitter account that has a number way bigger than a human can remember as faces/people... unless you are a celebrity and have 2000000K crazy fans

So the question is this: if they are just "machines following machines" = following each other through some crappy spamming software... then the whole thing is worthless.

Is there any common ground why they are in that "group" called your followers? E.g. are they all interested in remedies for stinky feet or something? If yes, sell them remedies for stinky foot.

But if they are just software following another software - that's not a profitable list.
Although I may be wrong... You know what? Test it! Send them a cool offer that would fit their interest (see above). If they buy - I was wrong.

No, they are real followers. I manage the account with a friend, we interact with them a lot. Its sort of a comedy/parody account.

Ive made over like 4K with "sponsored tweets" and "Mylikes" .
But im looking for a way to make it more profitable.

Yikes my friend if you have made over 4k with sponsored tweets then you would be best off sticking with them. In less of course your account got suspended. A twitter account with 200k will seem rather fishy too a lot of networks out there. Good luck though.

If they're real people who will turn into real traffic, you might even be able to do a lot better than AdSense income. What's their commonality? What is it that's made them all "follow" you? Is there a niche/interest-area involved there, with marketable products?

It is really hard to make twitter accounts profitable because of the nature of twitter. I would start to build a relationship with your followers by providing them with some good content. Build long term traffic with them by giving them a free ebook or something that they get to download instantly. Send them directly to the ebook for download full of stuff about your link to your site throughout. I am not sure if adsense would make any revenue but if your Followers are comprised of a mixture of interests then you would be good sending them to a common interests page.

It really depends on what your audience is comprised of. You can send them to website with world news or world wide interests such as looking weight loss, games, making money online, vacation stuff as well.

Just look for something that has a bunch of worldwide common information and send your traffic there. If it is however niche relate then go ahead and send them to a free ebook..

    Hope this helps,

    Cheers,

    ALEX

Have you used Fiverr? There are plenty of people willing to pay you to send a tweet to 200k followers.

I would offer them free "reports" and I use that term loosely. Since your followers have come to expect comedy/humor, give them the same in a free PDF, and invite them to join your mailing list to get the free PDF.

Then you can tease and humor them from the list and offer affiliate links for other funny books or stuff.

That is probably the best way to do it.

But as others have said, if you wanna be lazy about it, sell tweets at fiverr.

He is talking about a WordPress Theme that is optimized to present Adsense.

Adsense is such a dead-end road if you are promoting to real Twitter followers. They want to follow YOU, not your advertisers.

I agree with the above posters. A 200k list of automated, machine-followers is worth less than one follower that is a buyer.

But, if your 200k list is of buyers and active listeners, then just promote an offer and you're golden!

yes you could offer a funny or comedic service on fiverr or find a joke shop and offer products that could make you money, for example joke books, practical jokes a good one could be april first stunts, comedy presents for birthdays and xmas.Just a few ideas but maybe send them to a blog that sells these sort of products.

Write a book about comedy. Like... America's 100 funniest stories.

Now publish the book on Amazon and send out a tweet to your followers and let them know about your book.

Make sure a do some pre launch hype, such as build a website for the book and give away a few of the chapters for free to people who subscibe to your list.

Also, buy one of the great WSO's on how to get on the various Amazon Bestseller Lists. There is a solid strategy behind it.

Make sure you find out how to get moving on the many of the top ranking list which can then catapult your book into the mainstream.

    This does 3 things.

    1. It gives your list value by giving them what they want, which is comedy, and a better connection with you.

    2. Lets your fans to help you make money with your book launch and

    3. boost your inital ranking for a chance to hit a homerun with a bestseller by getting many sales in a short period of time.

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers!

Find some products that are kooky and interesting. Then, join the affiliate program for those products.

Finally, post those affiliate links in the Twitter feed, and see if anyone buys them.

There are many sites where you get paid for sponsored tweets (just google it) and with this number of followers you will find many who want to advertise their products. Of course it depents on your niche. Don't use fiverr to sell tweets there are sites that pay much much more if your twitter account really deserves it, you just need to be selective and not choose everyone who offers you a few bucks, choose the ones that their products or services might help your followers...
