Help Monetizing my site with 600 uniques per day

INTERNET MARKETING

Hey Warriors,

I currently have a website called BROcrastinator.com, which focuses on men's entertainment topics such as sports, viral videos, music, beer drinking and more. My site now receives around 600 unique visitors per day, which is growing pretty steadily.

The only negative part of my websites growth is that I'm finding it difficult to monetize effectively because of the site's broad entertainment nature. I'm currently using a variety of methods, but I've never really hit a home run in terms of monetizing. Here's a look at what I'm working with right now.

Social Spark sponsored posts and CPM ads: $30 a month
Yardbarker network: $15 a month
Amazon Associates: $5-25 a month
Assorted other affiliate programs: $10 a month
Total: Usually around $60-75 a month

Don't get me wrong $75 a month isn't bad, but for the amount of time I'm spending on the site, I'm essentially paying myself $2-3 an hour which is awful compared to my actual salary. I'm looking to really capitalize on the 16,000 monthly unique visitors I have and make more money on the site.

Does anyone have any ideas or methods that they believe could work on my site? Appreciate any and all feedback! Thank you for your time.

I've spent the last 59 months building 412 MFA sites. Each site averages 8 cents per day...I said average, some make up to 17 cents per day, PASSIVE INCOME! This income allows me to live comfortably and buy ANY flavor Jolly Rancher or Skittles I desire. Don't give in to fear, it CAN be done!

i see you have an optin but it doesnt say anything specific just
sign up to receive our free ebook (what ebook?) and product giveaways (what products?)

and thats a bit funny because when i went to the site i didn't really get an idea of what the site was about just like i dont know why i would opting in.

i know thats not what you are looking for but maybe thats the prob, you got folks coming thru but who are they and why are they coming there? figure that out and then maybe you can focus the site a bit more and products will become obvious to you.

Hey Rob,

I can only assume what your target audience is from the content on the site. Which simple put, your target audience are 'bros'.

So they might be interested in things like men's magazines, fitness equipment etc.

Therefore maybe you could look for affilate programs for these things. I had a quick search on men's health magazine website but couldn't see any affilate program. However do a bit of research and you might come across it.

OK Nice site!

1. Focus on making sure all your social media is connected up and market the "Bro" - get a traffic surge. This PDF might help

2. Can you find products and services that your members want to buy? Or try? Look for CPA offers that pay really well. Or get exclusive deals for Gym Member discoount, sports jerseys, magazines, micro brewery promotion... the list is endless

"Get your 25% off Gold Gym membership plus free goodies bag exclusive on "Bro"..."

make them limited by time "only this month on Bro" and then use your social media to promote the heck out of the deal... and make sure you get a decent kickback for getting leads for the business

Make sure they are good deals and exclusive to you... keep the brand image in focus all the time and build that community (think about a forum or a section where you get Bros to post videos with the best one getting a prize like a Free Jersey or something)...

  I think a lot of affiliates that you can get to make more money. You can type in Google, your keyword + affiliate to find out what fits. Or through a broker who is quite a lot on the internet. Or Infolink, I think it's pretty good result.

Develop a long term strategy for the brand:

ultimately selling Bro caps, sweatshirts, suits.... anything that fits the Brand

at this point I would focus on traffic generation, list building and product creation or finding great stuff you wanna promote

16000people * 10%ctr * 0.1cpc = $160 you should be getting from adsense alone. Just put a 728X90 text/image leaderboard under the header.

build a list and give them a freebie "men only" magazines (you can check this on free magazine websites, that's how I get Reader's Digest for free to my list -- and no, I'm not talking about "adult" or boobs ).

make a pop-up optin as this will skyrocket optin conversion.

once they sign up, you can send them updates, fun men-only tips, and sent them to CPA offers (naughty or not).....put some "poll" banner like "which chick is sexier?" or "which beer is your fave?" and "enter your answer to win an iPad!" ==> direct to CPA offer.

Or if your traffic comes from certain countries, you can have a CPM advertising. It's a passive way to earn $$ from visits alone, although they're not clicking

I would try to get some sponsored advertising from targeted companies.
You could also do some affiliate marketing promoting other peoples products on the site.

One other option would be to get your own product on there and sell it. This could be an ebook? Newsletter? Video series?
Something fun and targeted that you can sell to visitors.
