Website #10 on google now cant be found

After publishing my website canonPrinterReviews.com, it went to #10 on google, and #3 on yahoo for the word s canon printer reviews.

Now after 1 month its gone, cant be found?

I havent updated the site since the posting, and average traffic is 200 per day, now 100 per day.

Is there any main reason I may have been wipped from the search engines?

Could be you got position just because of the url name?

Are you promoting the site with articles and social sites?

If you are using articles and submitting them, you need to do it regularly and in quantity with a good Bio box at the bottom showing a link back to your site. that way you will get better positioning.

    Hope that helps

It's the google dance. After a few months you're spot will settle down.

When you did initially publish your site?

Particularly in the early days for your perspective, that search engine rank achievement is Art first and Science second and like an earlier posted said your ranking will eventually become more settled and have more incremental movements.

Keep doing what you are doing though and don't rest up....keep doing your reviews and keep doing marketing for the site as the long term is what you want to achieve and not initial short term day to day rank.

If you do that consistently you will probably go even higher than no. 10.

arh its a tough google world, Ill start adding 1 review per week and post on more printer forums, currently posting on only one forum.

The site is about 5 weeks old, Just checked vistor stats Total for Feb is 2,850, January only had 1,500 so looks like it is still doing ok...

My thinking was having the site canon printer reviews.com would bring loads of traffic when ever someone typed this into goggle... maybe not that easy after all.

Still no sales, trail and error I guess!

Scrotus, if your site is brand new...don't worry. This happens to ALL new sites.
Just make sure you do link building now. Your site will reappear in the listings after about 2-3 weeks. If I were you I'd do a press release distribution (a PAID one), that usually kicks a new site out of the sandbox.

Try search the actual URL of your domain to find out whether it is still in Google index.

You should keep building backlinks for your domain to let in back to the top position asap.

You have 5 backlinks according to Yahoo, one of which is from your own site. The other 4 are nofollowed, and has your domain name as the backlink text instead of the keyword you're targeting. Yes, I know your domain name contains your keyword, but it would be better if you used the keyword by itself in the link instead of your domain name, unless you want to rank for canonprinterreviews.com. If that's the case, congratulations...you're number one.
