Do FAQ sections attract traffic?

I have a feeling that FAQ sections attract significant traffic if done correctly. Any views?

I would agree in saying that they do. But where is the FAQ section going to be. On your blog? If so, I would try building the page rank of that specific page and enable comments, that way any comment and question can be indexed making it possible to rank for thousands of keywords as long as the page rank is high enough.

The FAQ section does in fact generate a significant amount of traffic. It should be be done right though with relevant information that can be easily found.

Most triers would like to go to the FAQ page to look into valid answers. Yes, I too feel that it has a telling effect on traffic-building. May be it is another SEO technique!

If you look at your long tail keywords, there are many questions....How does....Why does...How can I ....How much does....What is the difference...

and all of those add up to searches people make and a great way to drive traffic to your site.

Normally the FAQ does do well on websites, but don't just put it there for the sake of putting it there. Are there actually any questions that people who visit your website frequently ask, or are you just putting random questions up there again?

If there are, you should definitely put up a FAQ section that clearly answers those questions so that anyone visiting would understand. Useful FAQ pages do attract traffic.
