I would like to know about forum marketing, how can I do it effectively?

Which products and services can be sold in internet marketing, webmaster forums easily?

How many posts should I made daily in popular forums?

How to communicate with forum members and how to give respect to them?

      Your point is really applicable, but you have to think that no one is master in any field, if I have started this discussion then it may be that I want to understand it in more details, I want to have views of people like you, it would increase my knowledge, your knowledge or community knowledge also.

      Do you think? All the SEO firms are perfect? No? they are trying their best to provide best services.

        This question has an easy answer. If you want to sell products on marketing forums they could be services (graphics,seo,cooywriting etc) or you could develop your own products.

        The problem I see is rehashed content being stuffed into ebooks to make a profit. IF you provide value into your product sales will come naturally. Once you have a handful of people who've used your product and posted reviews it will spread like wild fire.

        Trouble is reading the OP it sounds like you've never done it before.

        Hence her reply.

        I can't help think that if I wanted to learn more about a way I made money, I'd want to engage in a conversation about the deeper aspects of it, as opposed to the most basic questions you could probably ask about it, which you did.

        You really ought to turn off the signature when making threads like this. At best you look like your self promoting your site and worse, in this case, like someone offering a service they're not very clued up about.

    Forum marketing can be really tricky. I think just about any product can be marketed on forums, but the key is in finding the right forums to market the products on. For that, it is essential that you conduct extensive research, so that you are in the right place for the right product.

    What is more important than choosing the right forum to market a product on, is choosing the right product. When you market something on a forum, you have to have complete command over the niche the product falls in. You should be considered an expert in that field.

    The other essential thing is building a reputation on the forums you are targeting. Don't make it seem like you are there to sell a product to members - participate actively in the community, and convince them that you know what you are talking about. Only when you have a reputation on a forum should you include a link to your website/product/squeeze page in your signature (depending on forum rules etc).

    Forum marketing is an incredibly effective method of getting paying customers; yet, people struggle a lot when they are doing it, since they try rushing things and forcing their products onto forum users, either getting themselves banned or a massive loss in credibility.

    As for the number of posts, it is hard to say. The quality of your posts is far more important than the quantity of them, although you should post regularly so that people start remembering who you are.

    Yes, use your sig with a captivating headline that speaks clearly about what you do. You can link it to a forum post where you sell your products or services... or to a web page.

    Also, post content in the forum. Start discussions, answer discussions... make sure your answers are thorough and clearly position you as you know what you're doing in your niche.

    Consider your forum posts as "internet realty." Forum posting are investments of your time and can pay you back over time. What you post in a forum can be found by someone searching for that topic 1 month, 6 months, and even more than a year later.

    To put it in basics I would say; go to forums that are based around your niche topics and provide them great quality content. Be helpful, show your expertise and have a link in your signature. Get in on high traffic threads early and try to get a name for yourself on the forum.

    That's probably what most people would say, anyway.

    Forum marketing is all about finding a good niche! don't think you can go to a money making or IM forum and make tons because you won't! why? because just look around here, everyone has a signature promoting, however you go to a 'magic/illusionist' forum and barely nobody has a signature, which means you stand out!

    Try different niches but be warned you will have to do a bit of study and learning, as stated above quality posts will do your sales much more than just a large quantity of posts!

      use your signature to promote/linkback to your site. ofcourse you need to participate in the forums to spread your links. also, your posts should make sense and actually contribute to the discussion for you to gain the respect of other users.

    There is nothing like forum marketing at all. Just keep your self continue and keep others engage with your post and ask question and reply your thoughts on others question is the process of forum marketing.

    Actually in present scenario forum discussion have prone as a huge direct traffic for your website. So just to get traffic and present your knowledge in front of others.
