"Google Hates Internet Marketers" - REALLY?

Somebody posted a comment on one of my blog posts that said, "Google hates Internet marketers."

I found this comment to be absolutely ridiculous.

Every website on the Internet that sells something is from an "Internet marketer" - from your tiny blog to WalMart.com and everything in between, including every business that advertises on AdWords.

To say that Google "hates Internet marketers" is like saying Google hates making money.

Jus' sayin'.

I disagree with that too. Google wants websites that have unique, quality content. They don't care if it is surrounded by affiliate links or your own product links, as long as the content is of quality and is unique.

        How true.Unique,quality content that's relevant.I've seen
that advice time after time, and can't understand why some
people seem to struggle with it,laziness probably.
Surely it's as easy to feed the Panda bamboo than it is to
        feed it bull****.

Does Google hate Internet Marketers? No.

Does Google hate some of the methods Internet Marketers use? Yes.

Yes. Its not about what Google hates. I think the focus has now drastically shifted to the importance of what Google loves. Like quality content and well planned web pages.

Let's not forget Google is doing internet marketing as well. For the matter, google can be said to be an advertising medium. It doesn't want poor players who can't play the game. They want high quality sites that humans find useful and relevant to their search queries. That's their ultimate goal.

Look at what Google is moving to. 3d simulated, virtual reality SEARCHES. It's a big signal of what they're looking for. If their aim of improving lives pushed some internet marketers out of the way, then maybe you're doing something wrong.

They don't like sites that don't provide any value for their users.

Some internet marketing sites fall into this category.

So do a lot of other sites though.

Google hates lazy unproductive spamming leeches that contribute nothing to the web other than poor quality links, overloaded ads, garbage post and ripped / spun content.

That's sheer blasphemy you know... there's nothing like that! We all including Google are business entities and so therefore we are online for money and so is Google!
Therefore Google can never hate making money (ie hating IMers).

I'd say "Google wants to sell Adwords"...but I'm a different freak mentality. In the end, their last moves goes to show PPC is the ONLY way to get traffic from Google... so... yeah. lol

I think there are 2 camps of internet marketers. One concentrates on great content creation. The other concentrates on getting fast results. The poster should be referring to those that wants fast results. Normally they do it by exploiting SEO keywords in their content.

I don't think Google hates IMs. I think Google hates duplicate content, very bad written content, etc. and I don't blame them. Write high quality content (or have it written) four your websites and you should be fine.

I believe that in this case the problem is that it is much easier for people to say "Google
hates internet marketers (so I can't make money online)", than admit and accept that they
are crappy internet marketer and that they are the problem. It's the classic blame game and
not taking responsibility. Surefire road to failure.

I don't think Google hate anybody. They just do their best to get the best result for users not marketers.

Don't you think that when you need information, Google is the best? Compare to Bing and Yahoo, Google contents are better and more relevant.

I wouldn't say they hate Affiliates. Hell, if your a Adwords publisher your a Google affiliate.

They dislike the business practice of many affiliates. Affiliate marketers kinda have the same bad reputation like a "Used Car Dealer". IMO

I couldn't agree more. Many would be surprised how many times a writer like myself gets asked to fix garbage content from a foreign or spun source. At least a half dozen requests a month and I am just one man.

The tiny blog and Walmart.com are totally different. They most certainly hate affiliate marketers which means the average Joe who's looking to build a business online. They'll soak up Walmart cash all day. You think Walmart.com has to worry about a quality score when using Adwords?

I would add to this that google hates internet marketers that does not use their adwords because they can use SEO to get in the traffic needed for their business.

So what does google do shut down the SEO guys so they have to move to PPC to get the same traffic they where getting before via SEO.

Its a really smart business decision but also one that an attorney should sue the shirt off googles back for as they are sitting on a monopoly on search traffic and they are making a funnel directly to their adwords money printing machine.

I think its about time to look for another free traffic source.

It is a rediculous statement... Google makes all of it's revenue from internet marketers paying them advertising fees! So Google not only LOVES internet marketers it is dependent on them.

However what Google might HATE is successful black-hat SEO's who manage to get garbage sites to page 1 in Google and profit. Google hates this because they want to get quality results on to the first page, but the motivation for profit means some people will get crappy sites ranked if it makes them money. Ironically the adsense system means you can profit by making a bad site that is so bad people click the ads to escape (and makes the site owner money in the process).

Google loves the user. User are typically very ad resistant and hate being sold to. I have no idea where search is headed but i'm convinced social is going to play a pivotal role in rankings.it wouldn't surprise me if Google bought up Klout or launched it's own side start up.
