Has Anyone Got Results With Social Bookmarking?

Hi warrior

I am thinking of using social bookmarking sites to drive traffic to my website and was wondering if anyone has got results with this traffic method and do they advise people to use these sites as a traffic generation.

    Social bookmarking is a good way to get initial traffic to your site, but you need to make sure that you publish on the high-traffic ones. I also would recommend that you do it manually because a lot of the best sites to publish on use Captcha code. I also suggest that you not publish to too many social bookmarking sites in one day. That's kind of a red flag and can look spammy. You should also be aware that social bookmarking alone won't push you to the top of the search engines.

    Social bookmarking is a source of backlinks but I have thoroughly outsourced it - since I did figure out that Google does not place a lot of importance on backlinks from social bookmarking sites. Moreover, Fiverr has simplified the problem of whether or not to outsource, to a great extent.

    However, would want to hear the overall views of warriors as to the importance of social bookmarking sites for traffic. Please do pour in your thoughts.

    Social bookmarking sites especially Stumbleupon bring a lot of traffic but unfortunaletly it's not targeted traffic.

    Yes, I agree. Stumbleupon ( and reddit in the good old days ) can be great for traffic. You can try and target if you choose your categories properly, but it's relatively hit and miss.
