Unconsistant google rankings?

Hello,

Can someone tell me why my google rankings are crazy different on multiple computers? on one computer im number 1 for my keyword, on another im number 6 and on another im number 18. Can someone tell me what thats all about?

    Are you loved into a google account? Also for local searches, sometimes the city they think you are in is wrong.

    Are the computers on the same IP address, in the same location?

    A couple of possibilities:

    (1) Things are up in the air a little right now, what with the recent algorithm change. If for some reason each request happens to be pulling results from different Google datacentres, you'll potentially see some inconsistencies in rankings. This can happen anyway, but all the more so at a time like this, when Google's doing something of a truffle-shuffle.

    (2) Google sometimes shakes things up on-the-fly, prioritising rankings based on your search history and the number of times you've clicked certain results. Log out of your Google account (if signed in), clear your browser's cookies and cache and then try again.

      I checked on my desktop and then on my laptop and the third was checked from someone in an entirely different state.
