Title of e-guide important?

I'm creating a how to guide. I'm going to setup a sales page on a e.m.d. for a keyword I am targeting. Does it really matter what I title my e-guide since the domain is what is responsible for the seo factors? Thank you.

It's important to give the e-guide a good, interesting title that draws the reader in at the very least - so yes, it is important!

Hey make them the same, it never hurts, it is easy to have that name recognition, whether its the domain name and title of the guide. Plus its goooood for SEO.

    Hi there,

I take the question is if the title of the pdf will impact your seo rankings.

Now the real answer to that is : only big Google knows.

For other common marketers and online publishers the domain name is obviously the main factor to help the rankings. Make sure the website is optimised for search engines and you will be ok.

    Keep up the good work

  • Title, as well as cover, it's what drives the visitor attention.
So it's important to find a quality name for your product.

    See you soon,

Title plays a vital role because only if the title is catchy and attractive you will get visitors. Even when i am online if i get interested in a topic i will cheek it out. All are like that.

Are you asking about the filename, or the on page title? On page title - super important. These days you really need to incorporate LSI keywords. Also people will see that title and it will be the last thing they use to decide whether to click or not.

    Of course it matters!

    Here's why:
    • "First Impressions" became "Pride and Prejudice"
    • "All's Well That Ends Well" became "War and Peace"
    • "The Sea-Cook" became "Treasure Island"
    • "The Chronic Argonauts" became "The Time Machine"
    • "Paul Morel" became "Sons and Lovers"
    • "Tenderness" became "Lady Chatterley's Lover"
    • "Bugles Sang True" became "Gone With the Wind"

Trust me, you wouldn't have heard of any of them if they hadn't got the title right!

If you want anyone to be interested in the EGuide, then the title is VITAL. So if you're selling it, or giving it away for free, or whatever you are doing with it, titles make a huge difference.

You should do a search for posts on good use of titles, on warriorforum.com, as I know there have been some good posts on that. And/or ask on the copywriting forum here, where I'm sure someone will point you in the right direction!

Thanks for the responses everyone. I guess what I really want to know is, should the title of my eguide be the same as my domain name, which is a buyers keyword? Or should I just make it something that sounds good?
