Warriors: A Lot More Honest Than You Might Think...

Recently PayPal started acting weird and began sending confirmation emails twice. Hitting the IPN thing twice or whatever...whatever the technical terms behind it is, it ended meaning that anyone who purchased a WSO between the dates of the 16th and 19th actually got '2' WSO's instead of one. Not everyone, but many, the bug seemed to be off and on.

As those people now go to the WSO section to post their newest WSO they are finding the system doesn't charge them, they just get to post without ever seeing the payment page.

The thing is, at least 20 of them have already contacted me wanting to pay. Sure there are a few that posted and kept quiet, thinking they got away with something, but the majority have immediately contacted me letting me know and asking to pay.

So for the haters out there who think a lot of Warriors are scammers - SCREW YOU...I highly doubt 'most' of your blog visitors would let you know they are getting your product for free.

To all those honest Warriors I say Thank You!

Haters will hate... scammers will scam... WARRIORS will be warriors.

Scammers are few and far between, the fact is, WARRIORS are good at sniffing them out and they don't last long. We look out for each other and that's what makes this forum a great place to be.

So, I second your sentiments with "SCREW YOU, HATERS" - if you don't like us, you know where the revolving door is... careful not to trap your head in it on the way out.

      Word, Karl, definitely word.

That is why this forum is here with the same posters year after year, marketing fad after marketing fad. Anyone can get it - but not everyone can be a Warrior. Earn it.

I love this forum - it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy to see the way people share resources, knowledge and support. I see a lot more honesty than not here, and I'm damn glad I'm here!

However, for the folks who didn't/haven't paid, they may not all be dishonest. I know I'm learning the mechanics of how to do a WSO and the site changes threw me a bit.

It's possible that some of the folks who didn't pay just don't quite 'get' how the system works now. Benefit of the doubt and all that...

For those who are skanky, thieving scum-suckers...well, sooner or later they'll get theirs.

That is one of the great things about the WF.

People looking out for other Warriors, like Exrat's post today about fake testimonials.

      G`day,

      yep ... that`s what I like about Warrior Forum ... while we`ll
no doubt ever get rid of ALL the scammers, most Warriors are
honest which makes this place run so much better than say ...
      DP ... ugg.

Bet you`ll keep a close eye on those that kept quiet Allen aye ...

      Christopher J.

P.S. Perhaps the ones that didn`t contact you didn`t realize
it was an error and just thought it was their lucky day ... although
I would`ve at least let Admin/Mods know what happened myself.

        Allen,

I mention the dishonest ones here occasionally, just to keep people aware that they exist. In my experience, the vast majority of the folks here are like the ones you mentioned: They wouldn't cheat you out of a dime, even if they thought you'd never know.

There've been several instances when I bought a WSO a second time, when it was re-listed a few weeks or months later, and the sellers refunded the second order without even asking about it. I wouldn't even have expected them to notice it, and certainly wouldn't have been annoyed if they hadn't.

There are tons of things like that involving people here.

And I couldn't begin to tell the number of times someone here pointed me to a site that was using my content or pirating my stuff.

They don't just do what's right, they watch out for other folks when they're not even involved.

The list could go on for pages and pages and never get close to complete.

If we only hear about the creeps, we could get paranoid. As a rule, the folks here are more than honest... They're meticulous about doing the right thing.

        Thanks for the reminder.

I think Paul raises a valid and worthwhile point, it can
seem at times that there is an imbalance when there
is more bad news than good news.

It's great to see a positive post that demonstrates that
the vast majority of warriors are honest citizens.

      Hi Allen,

I think you should also consider that your own actions (EG a few weeks ago you gave someone $500 for being the first to post) are likely to encourage good karma in return. All I'm saying is enjoy the karma that you receive because your actions create reciprocal actions.

If you would like to create even more good karma, please waffle away about your opinions and ideas regarding business on the internet (even if you think it's meaningless waffle) and allow us to peruse it in the war room.

I found a child's purse with money rattling in it on the tennis courts on Thursday and handed it in and felt good that it would be returned rather than some thieving toerag, high on crack toting a machine gun finding it.

I just hope the tennis court attendant wasn't high on crack, toting....

      Allen,

your right about paypal playing up, JJ and I ran a WSO last week and we got quite a few duplicated paypal notifications.

After it finished we checked our records and refunded a couple of warriors who actually paid twice before they even noticed. It would have defeated the object to gain trust etc by trying to keep a few bucks.

Talking of how good Warriors are, a big up to John Taylor who gave me a copy of a script I wanted to test before purchasing the other day.

      Jason

      ps. John, still testing

I have only been here a short time and I came to learn. I have nothing to sell at this point. I have noticed that this place is different than most. I am not quite sure what it is, but people seem to be for real and genuine. I have written to a couple privatly and they have been very helpful. Peter Drew and Scott Murdaugh to be precise. Very helpful and generous with their time and information. This is a great place and I could spend hours every day just reading the posts, but unfortunately I do need to work sometimes. I am sure glad I found this place mentioned in something I bought online.

What makes a great forum are the people on it and the shared feeling of community.

There is, in my humble opinion, nothing else on the net that even comes close to the WF.

          Ok, that's enuff sap.

I agree with Mike here. There always seems to be those that only remember the "scam" posts, or members that cheat people out of $$. It's post like this and Amanda's Breast Cancer wso that makes this place so great.

Let me begin this post with a quotation: "All generalizations are dangerous, even this one."--Alexandre Dumas

It's been my experience that many of those who constantly complain about being scammed, swindled and cheated are often the worst offenders. That old grade school insult reply, "It takes one to know one", comes to mind.

Yes, there are bad guys, and gals out there. Most people, however, are honest.

Being aware is fine but dwelling on the negatives of life and the evil which may never befall you is counterproductive. It'll make you miserable.

From pretty much my first few posts in this forum I've had the feeling that it was very different. In my first week or so I replied to a thread and I think I was a bit unclear about what I meant. Someone misunderstood, thought I was being a *cough* and was really quite rude about it. I explained what I actually meant and he replied back almost straight away with -

"Oh sorry, my bad, I misunderstood."

That sticks with me to this day (almost 2 years on I believe). I doubt there are many other forums where people are so polite and don't just stick to their guns in flame wars.

The sign of a true Warrior is ...

Actually, here in Japan you get constantly surprised by the honesty of the common citizen (common citizen excludes politicians). Just last year, I lost my wallet on the street after a night of quaffing beverages. Two days later it was at the police station, with my $300 still inside. That is not the first time either.

There is a majority of honest people in the world. Unfortunately, it's the dishonest ones who usually make the headlines.

The first lesson taught/learned in journalism class-at least mine-is/was, "dog bites man-no news; man bites dog-news."

Exceptional, unusual, aberrant, surprising, uncommon sells newspapers, TV ad space and radio air time.

The usual we see daily and it's-for the most part-unremarkable.

Bad news gets around a lot more than good news...at least here in America. I guess we just get off on it...who knows.

I believe in Karma, as Tim said above. Even if your WSO does not do well, I know that immediately offering to pay will come back in a good way.

Also, the sense of "community" and "family" in this forum is a rarity. I love it.
