In 15 yrs 90% of news will be written by robots

I picked this up from a Tony Robbins Tweet. @tonyrobbins

I asked Hammond to predict what percentage of news would be written by computers in 15 years. At first he tried to duck the question, but with some prodding he sighed and gave in: "More than 90 percent."
Here's the entire article.

Maybe I can get a robot wife that I can program to stop using the credit cards when she feels the need.

I just hope that people will come to their senses before
intelligent robots turn on their masters. And I'm not kidding at all.

I won't deny the possibility and as a former engineer I find this intriguing. However, I also know that these technological forecasters can be completely wrong so much of the time. I learn not to listen to their predictions. We were supposed to all have robot servants in the late 90s, but it seems they keep pushing the date back on that one.

At some point, society must do a major reversal. People will finally come to their senses and throw the robots out at some point. Someone, I believe it was Nostradamus predicted the great wars.

World War III has not come to pass. After he talked of the massively destructive weapons in the first two world wars, he spoke of WW III being fought with...sticks and stones.

Society will reverse itself when technology gets, "too big for its britches!"

It's what you do when no one is watching
that determines what you will be able to
    do when everyone is watching.

    The end is nigh!

Technology won't be eradicated. I wouldn't take Nostradamus predictions as fact due to his 'state' when he made them but that's another story.

EDIT: You steppin on my turf Bill? Funny pics is my bit!

Eh, I feel that it will work with some things; but a big part of the news is the human element.

Also, this thread made me think of an appropriate song:

Just think right now the closest things to robots are auto blogs, and they are a joke, and google hates them.... so those robots have a lot of work to do. *laughs*

I do not care about robots, or who, or what sort of machine will be writing my news..... I just want a bloody flying car BABY!!....yeah....bring it on!!!

i think not self intelligent to write a news, but someone preset the notes and use the bot to write it in correct format.

i build robot, yes bot can work by itself without me, but it must be preset to do that.
