I was wondering if anyone knows of a decently priced way of making custom sandals or flip flops online. I was looking for something like a chinese company that would use my design and the send them to me.

Has anyone heard of something like this before?

    Check out alibaba.com. I've used them to make a custom product before. They have a lot of suppliers that manufacture products and a lot of them can do custom stuff.

    You can also try searching out people on elance.com that design custom stuff.

    Yeah I just came across them. I heard some horror stories about them before though. What should I do to ensure I don't get scammed. I was only going to go with a company that was there longer than a year and approved.

      I know this may sound a little out of the loop, but if you are serious about your project the best advice would be to take a trip to visit china! You will find yourself saving in the long run. Plus many of the connections that you meet online are only brokers! If you dont have the time to take the trip, just invest in samples before making the smoq(small min order quantity). Do not let them rush you into ordering.

      Sign up to escrow .com and have your chinese vendor accept escrow .com as your form of payment. Legit overseas vendors will agree with you to use escrow's service also. Look it up.

I can help if you need quantities - I was working as a product development manager in a European company manufacturing in China with excellent resources - I have personally visited the factories and know all the people there, so after I left I started my own sourcing agency.
