Do you have One Time Offer Confusion...

Over the last few weeks I have noticed a disturbing trend in some of the WSO offerings.

Thankfully most of the WSO offers are good offers,

To give proper credit I started noticing buyers asking questions about what the OTO was, and how much it was, I also noticed that some sellers just ignored any questions about the OTO terms.
That made me curious why would a seller not answer a valid question in the thread, (I mean if you really want to make a sale sometimes you have to do a little work right) In fact there is a WSO today that ignores any questions about the cost and the terms of use of the OTO, so they want you to blindly purchase a product, just to get to the offer you really want?
Sorry, but I just do not see how this is a friendly fellow warrior special offer.

I first started noticing, this trend was taking place in some WSO sales how I found this was that when I made a purchase, of a WSO offer and was presented with the OTO offer, I realized that I was buying a personal use license, to a product just so I could get to the Developer offer, now this just does not seek right to me.
Right now I have 10 to 12 different products where I have personal use and developer use licenses.

Meaning that I paid for something that I did not need and will not use.

I have to ask does this seem like a friendly way to make an offer on the Warrior forum?

For example lets say that you have to pay 17 bucks for a personal use license and then you have to pay 37 dollars more for a developer license.

That seems a little less than what I would expect from fellow warriors that want my business for a long time to come...
Call me jaded but it seems like a less than nice thing to be doing if you want to continue to sell to warriors online.

As long as a OTO in not a required piece of info or kit that was somehow implied in the main sales copy I really dont have much of a problem with it.

If the OTO is a great extra, that only some people could use or want to invest in, I think that's a valid reason to make something an oto.

But I must admit, I hate when there are 3 or 4 OTOs.. that just bugs my behind.

yes, I guess my thoughts are why should you have to purchase a product you do not want or need in order to get the opportunity to buy the product you do want to buy.

That is what seems to be difficult to comprehend.

Why, force a developer customer to buy personal use rights, when they do not need them, I mean if they had a thing where you could gift that product to someone else then at least you would have a method of obtaining some value out of a product that you purchased.

Just saying I think that I am not going to be buying products that are designed to unfairly market products that I do not need to buy.

I bought a WSO recently and had to by-pass 4 pages of OTO's until I could finally download the product I bought.

Rather than feel that I got a genuine Special Offer I felt that it was just a tool to lure me into buying other products that he had for sale and the perceived value of what I bought was lessened.

Marketers will tell you that it is good marketing to have OTO's and say that if you don't have them then you are leaving money on the table.....but buyers will tell you that they are a pain in the ass and are blatent attempts to squeeze every last penny from you.

I personally hate OTO's in WSO's and think that they go against the spirit of what a Warrior Special Offer should be.

Oh - people are going to hate me now
