Don't make the mistake of assuming...

Even seasoned marketers can make this rookie mistake: Don't assume your target market and customers have seen and heard everything on the internet that you have.

Most consumers and probably even your target market hasn't spent as much time on the internet as you have. It's so easy for us IM marketers to be discouraged because we think everyone has already seen everything there is to see on the internet, but it's simply not true.

You make a good point, heck i still learn about things on a daily basis that have been around for awhile, but never came accross it till then, so like you said you can't assume about what your target market and customers know or don't know about.

    All the best,

That's a very good point. Haven't really though about it before.

    Good point-

    Corollary:
don't assume your readers understand your technical jargon. If you use a technical phrase, make sure you explain it (you can just give the definition afterwards in parentheses like so). Your readers will thank you, and the ones that already know what you're talking about won't mind.
