Finding your affililate product buyers to segment your list

I know the importance of segmenting your list from your non-buyers to your buyers. This is easy enough to do if you are selling your own product where you can direct which pages people land on as they go through your sales funnel. But is there a way of finding out who your buyers are on your list when you are sending them affiliate offers for other peoples products?

Say i have a list of a few thousand people. I send an email for affiliate offer and I get some buyers..those buyers are funnelled into the affiliates sales funnel and all I will see is some commission in my affiliate account. I'd like to be able to find a way to segment these people into a separate "affiliate buyers" list so I know who on my list actually buys stuff..and who just stays for the freebies and never buys anything. Then I can market to these lists differently if I have this information.

Anyone know if this is possible at all?

    there are some tools that can help out in this process but ive never used tools for it

    all i did was offer a bonus and then request there paypal receipt then i will forward them the bonus and put them on a buyers list at the same time

    its kinda manual way of doing it and the more buyers you get the more work you will have lol

    but the bottom line is you can always track every sale and put them in a buyers list but im still yet to come across a good tool which does this with ease
