avertise on websites for more traffic..

So I want to try something new that I heard can work..
I want to post some ads on sites in the weightloss niche but Im not sure how to find a site that will let me advertise on there main page.. Obviously I would prefer it to be a weight loss site but the ones I went to had no ads..
Any ideas or has anyone done this in another niche?
And any success with it?

    You could search for relevant sites and then check with alexa.com to see how popular the site is and if it qualifies you could then contact the webmaster directly. Often many sites have a button (usually hidden below) that says something like "advertise" or contact and you can go from there.

    You can try visiting weight loss forums to see what sites are being discussed, then contact the webmaster of those sites direct. Direct contact is usually a lot cheaper then going through a third party.

    Have you tried searching Google for the Top Weight-loss Sites and then check their Alexa ranking in order to get idea of there traffic level.

    Do not focus on just weightloss sites, you can also promote your Weight loss product on virtually any health site since its still within the same range.

    You will have to look around the page especially at the bottom for the "Advertise with Us" link.

    Well you could contact the sites that you believe would be better for your product and ask them if you can advertise on them. Many sites might not state on their site that they accept advertising but if you ask them and you offer a reasonable price most of the times will be positive...
