First Three Months and a Week

Hey guys,

For those who I know are struggling to make it into this business, here's my own story for my first 3 months and a week venture in IM.

Tasks Done
- Set up the site, dabbled on WP and got a relatively decent site built.
The choice on the domain name is forgettable.

- Use article marketing promotion, social media (to the point of spamming) to drive traffic, and some free sample backlinks from a member of WF.

- Post regular articles/reviews twice a week

Traffic - showed improvement after 2 months, the first month was used polishing the site and posting regular articles to the site

Results - 3 sales that happened just before the 3-month time and 2 more after.

Wrong moves - bought paid backlinks for $25 that hurt somehow my increasing traffic. My traffic is back the way it was two months before. But made 2 sales somehow.

Satisfaction Rate - Poor but Just Right.

When I decided to get into this business, I know I will experience some hit and misses. I know, there are no quick cash schemes here. But, since I already learned that you can really make a sale, then the question now is fast tracking what I have learned so far.

If I can get the traffic to the site for an average of 25-40 hits then it is time to build another site and repeat the method/system.

I hope other newbies out there learn something from this summary.

Thanks.

same here with me. I just posted my three-month journey so newbies like me can expect the best and worst during these period of time. if you knew a couple of methods i used then you can probably add new methods of bringing in more traffic. low traffic - the situation is the same with me.

you have a solid plan, most of the IM ebook/pdf out there are talking about the same thing over and over again. but only 1 thing will make the different which is continue of hard work.

Internet marketing is not for everyone, because it is way harder then a fixed salary job.

It's like playing a broken record. Personally I think that making money is really easy whether it's online or off.

All we have to do is invest a little time (and/or money if you got that) to build a credible asset (article, research, pictures etc) then publish it so others can see.

Then it's just a matter of bringing traffic to your business. If your assets are well built, I can safely say that word of mouth from your visitors/customers will start off without you knowing.

The bottom line is, Hard Work is where the money is. No easy way (unless you have the capital to invest and outsource the works).

this is the reason I never subscribed to any of those products. I got their message already. I got a hold of some pieces here and there and that's basically what I'm trying to do. Now, if I can only put in more hours and money into this probably I can get to the first goal of earning regular cash soon. But I guess, this is the stage of first learning what really works so that goal is not a priority. It's learning the system first. It may be too slow, but it is still learning nonetheless.

You hit the nail right on the head. In order to have any chance at success you need to have a solid plan and you need to stick to it. I think the OP has done well on both accounts.

Keep going. Just keep building sites and following a system that you know works.

If you keep at it things will eventually snowball.
