Hi,Warriors hope you all are fantastic
I heard people talking about Internet Marketing gurus.Even on some sales page I saw the Line"Internet Marketing Gurus Don't want you to know this" But no one claims himself as Internet Marketing Guru.
So,Who are Internet Marketing gurus? Is everyone earning a good income online is a guru?
Are there any I.M. gurus on warriorforum?
If yes,Please let me know because I want to read their success stories to keep me motivated.

From Wikipedia, the knower of all things: "In Western usage, the meaning of "guru" has been extended to cover anyone who acquires followers, especially by exploiting their naiveté"

Do you think we have a few of those in the IM realm?

Justin, you and I both are from south Georgia. Neither one of us can pronounce "naiveté" in our natural accent, so you're not allowed to use that word in type, either.

David, before I met my mentor (who doesn't have an online presence that you can follow), I discovered Pat Flynn (Passive Income: The Smart Passive Income Blog) and studied his methods. I also followed Spencer Haws (Niche Pursuits | Find Business Ideas, Niche Websites, and Much More!) and read everything he wrote. After that is when I discovered the WF and became a junkie here.

One man's guru is another man's ... ummm anti guru .

What Guru's know well is how to get you to part with some of your cash.

Hey there are many good guys out there but getting them to part with some of their knowledge is often going to mean you might have to part with stacks of cash . Best way is to hope that a family member marries a guru . That way you might get on the inside track more easily

The Warrior Forum will give you quite a bit of useful information, and the Warrior Special Offers (WSOs) will connect you with a lot of people who are making excellent livings doing internet marketing.

Many of the people who want you to believe they are gurus are only trying to make you their customer. Finding a coach you can afford can be a quick way to success.

    Roy is quite right.
    Don't bother about the gurus
as long as an internet marketer
    is earning tons,
    he/she is worth studying.

If you are just starting out,
    get a mentor.
    They can help you
    way better than
    if you work by yourself!

      Number 27 and moving up....

So to answer the OP Internet Marketing gurus DO exist but you will only see them when the moons and the planets are in the third house!

It is my sense there is no Guru because if there is some Guru, if you go to them and ask something about SEO he/she will not know because he never have done SEO, he/she used to do PPC and still doing PPC, so you can called them experts because they practice it every single day.. so they are expert in certain marketing and business not in everything.. I know a guy who is very good in PPC but is not good in social marketing and so on, so you can't called me Guru, if you want to learn PPC than you can make him Guru as a teacher..

I have always thought that "guru" is a derisive term, describing "experts" that people don't completely trust.

    Otherwise, "experts" are just "experts".

I don't think "guru's" would ever call themselves that, although they may describe themselves as "expert".

Now, I do know that some people call others "guru" as a signal of respect, but the vast majority of marketers use the word "guru" in an attempt to diminish others rather than to convey respect.

That is just my take -- legitimate or otherwise.

...Ever notice how weird the word 'guru' both looks and sounds if you see/say it enough?

I think my head might be about to explode.

That happens with any word. Try banana. Ba-na-na. Weird.

Anyways, gurus exist. There are just wildly differing definitions of the term. I voted myself as a guru; but only so I can start the "Guru Joe's" snack cake line.

I work for and with an Internet guru. He doesn't frequent warrior forum (that I know), because he's busy making money. He has a mentorship program and has had over 400 mentees.

His subscriber list is in the hundreds of thousands. Imagine a $7 WSO going out to that.

Gurus - yep, they do exist in IM. But you really cannot define a guru by hype or by overdone sales promotions. Best to hang around for awhile and learn by experience, and when you feel the need, do not go by "Guru" status to look for a mentor/coach. Just go by the direction you want to go in, obviously coupled with getting a person who is pretty well-known in the direction you are heading towards, to be your mentor.

Can I be your guru? :-)

I love the comment about how funny guru sounds and comparing it to ba-na-na...good stuff!

The best guru's would probably never consider themselves that way. I've had the opportunity to meet those "experts" at both online and offline ventures here and there. Oh...and they're rarely selling coaching programs and ebooks. :-)
