I have been focusing on myspace for the past couple months and kinda let facebook go to the wayside. I have been hearing reports that facebook gives way better results for time spent but wanted to get the opinions of someone that uses both. Im able to use software for myspace but I'm not to sure if there is a good adding program for facebook. Any info would be greatly appreciated :-)

Skip them both (well not permanently) but get a twitter account and link both in. It will update your status on both, and you won't have to spend too much time on either. I get comments on FB from things I posted on twitter. It's funny because sometimes I forget they can see it all. But my twitter comments seem to get great results of others interacting, and of course, I'm sent an email when someone has something to say, and I'm able to go back into FB and address them personally. |

What gives the best traffic is having the most friends that are interested in what you are marketing. Either network can provide that. Overall, Facebook surpassed Myspace in Internet traffic months ago. Myspace continues to decline and Facebook continues to increase. On this path Myspace will go the way of AOL. Everybody in my social circle uses FB. Myspace is like a ghost town to me now. |

Hey Joel, I'm not too sure about facebook traffic... I've just opened a facebook account and I've been on myspace for some time now. I personally like myspace better because of all the customizable features to spruce up your profile. I wanted to give you a heads up on something potentially disturbing I heard about facebook. Here's the scoop. It appears that they just changed the wording in the Terms & Conditions and there is a bunch of people in uproar about it. Basically, it says that they can do whatever they want with any of your content, forever - and there's nothing you can do about it. I think they are back peddling a bit, because actual facebook protest groups are forming. It may not matter so much for business minded folks like us. But, you may want to be cautious about uploading personal photos and info. I just came across some of this info and I honestly didn't look too deep into it. But, it took me back enough to not want to post much of any personal stuff on facebook. Yours in Success, Chris |

Ditto on the myspace/"ghost town" statement. Myspace, if you've been there lately, is seriously trying to play catch-up by implementing many of FB's features. Too late. The simplicity of Facebook is really its strength. Additionally, if time is of value, navigating some of those myspace profiles can seriously suck your time right from under you as they've allowed users to use some really unorthodox coding for customizing their pages... some of those pages take ages to load, won't load at all, or will crash your browser. To answer your question - the "best" traffic will depend on who you're connecting with on those networks in relation to your niche. -Anthony |
