hi, guys
How to find trademark of affiliate of Amazon?
Amazon said
"include any trademark of Amazon or its affiliates, or a variant or misspelling of a trademark of Amazon or its affiliates, in any domain name - for example, a domain name such as <endlessboots.com>, <amaozn.com>, <smallpartsstore.com>, <amazonauctions.net>, <kindlemagazines.mydomain.info>, or <kindlewirelessreader.co.uk> would be unsuitable"
thanks

They are saying you cannot use their name is any domain or any variation of their domains.

For example you cannot call your site SpensAmazon.com or KindleSpen.com or any other Amazon trademarked name.

You can see them on the TOS agreement you are quoting from

It's not. You can use the word "machine".

It's not an Amazon trademark, you're fine.

OMG, some of those don't seem like they should be trademark-able. Fire? Okay, I understand in the context of Kindle fire, but outside that context (like "I'm on fire" or "fire your boss") I would think the trademark wouldn't stand.
Readers? Prime? Thing? All very common words.
The point is not to seem like you're officially representing them.

You know anyone can trademark any word... Amazon does this and they run their affiliate program so can make TOS however they wish.

You know that Trump trademark You're Fired?

It all has to do with context. You are allow to trademark common words as long as the trademark is not generic for the types of goods or services that they are provided for.

Here are some examples that people tend to overlook everyday.

                    Apple
                    Time
                    Caterpillar
                    Shell

They are all trademark common words. If Apple was selling apples, that trademark would not work or be allowed.

Many ebay sellers have been banned for doing the same practice.

I'm sure you'd be absolutely fine using the word "innovations" as long as it's not combined with search or technologies.
