Please Educate Me About Affiliate Marketing...

Good Day Warriors!

I have loads of affiliate products and services that I would like to market, but I am new to this and do not have a clue as to best avenues to present them. If anyone has any great "shoe string" tips and tricks, I sure would like to hear from you.

Thanks!

For a start, write (or outsource) 5 (minimum) articles on your niche. Submit the articles to top articles directories, starting with ezinearticles 1st. Bookmark ALL your articles on ezinearticles once approved. Use windows movie maker, make a quick short video on your niche, and submit to youtube. Bookmark the video as well. That should give you a good start.

Article writing is a great way to start, but then I would say that as an article writer wouldn't I ?

That said, I would just like to tell you a little bit about my biggest mistakes.

Do not try and promote too many things at once. I know it is tempting and exciting, but it stretches you out too thin and you do not concentrate on the main thing - making your first few sales.

Select a niche that is selling products but that does not have hundreds of affiliates promoting it because you will find it hard to compete with them. Go for something with less than a hundred affiliates and where there is a good payout per sale.

It takes the same amount of work to promote any product really, so do you want to work hard and earn $12 or do the same work and earn say $32?

I agree with Munna_Bhai aabove on the bookmarking and video bit too.

So to sum up - don't take on too much at once and get some articles written or bought. I did just what I suspect you might be planning and it cost me a fortune in learning, especially with Adwords!!!

    Hope that helps

My practise is I only affiliate with the products I have tested and used (will be good if it is something I am interested with).

Then when you come to recommendation, you will feel confident in writing the sales page/ review page.

I want to thank everyone for all the great information. It will all definitely come in handy. I just started marketing CB products and most companies give you oodles of information on how to sell there products. I'm taking baby steps with it right now, but I'm sure everything will pan out-heck it's free to market those products anyway. Well, thanks again and I invite everyone to my website to check it out. I've put a bunch of IM e books on it and some of my affiliate products on there as well. I would like some constructive criticism because it's my first site and I really need to know what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong. Thanks again for everyone's help, Talk Soon!
