Facebook Fanpage Wall Regulations?

Hey Warriors,

Quick question, when setting up a brand facebook fanpage, are you limited through copyright and trademark what you can post on your wall?

Are you allowed to post on your wall any image? For example, an image of a companies product. Basically I want to know if there are any regulations of what you can post on a fanpage wall?

Thanks

I do some fanpages and don't worry about this copywrite stuff. I post videos, pix, quotes Amazon links, ect.

The main thing Facebook cares about is user experience. Don't post anything on your wall that will piss your fans off, aggressive CPA offers for example.

Also you can check MYwot.com ( My Web Of Trust). If you are unsure about posting a link you can enter it there and see the reputation of the site. If the site/offer has a bad/red reputation, I wouldn't post it as it would be against advertising TOC.

As long as you keep your fans happy and don't post links to dangerous/spammy sites (most CPA offers & networks) you will be fine.

The rules you really need to be concerned about aa far as the new Timeline TOS goes, have to do mainly with Cover Photos.

Cover Photos may not contain any of the following:
    • Price or purchase information, such as "40% off" or "Download it at our website"
    • Contact information, such as web address, email, mailing address or other information intended for your Page's About section
    • References to user interface elements, such as Like or Share, or any other Facebook site features
    • Calls to action, such as "Get it now" or "Tell your friends"

Then, of course, there are the normal rules - no pornography etc.
