People Say That Earning Online Is A Scam!

As an internet marketer, I always received emails asking me a common question.

This is how the email read 'Are you sure internet can help people to earn online? I tried it, but it is a scam as I see no result!'

I received this type of similar email almost everyday. I will give the same reply to every single email. Slowly, I am getting sick and tired of replying the whole thing. Therefore, I would like to share with you regard to the above content.

There are ways that internet allow you to earn money easily. I was one of the believers that internet can earn. However, I was sort of 'cheated' before. But, I never start swearing around. In fact, after this incident, it helped me to make a breakthrough.

This particular person wrote on her website that she will help me to earn online. I signed up for the program. After that, I tried to contact her, but to no avail. I was thinking that she is one of the scammer.

After I cooled down, I think it through carefully. She didn't keep her promise, but it doesn't mean that the program won't work. And people think that it is a scam because they never make an effort to test out the product.

In fact, can I say they do not understand the usage of the product? Feeling angry, I decided not to waste my money since I had invested in the program. I slowly explore the program and very soon I know how to use the program. Instead of losing money, I start making US$1,000 within a month.

Look here, everyone! The person lied to you that she will help you. It is wrong that she didn't keep her promise. But it doesn't provide that the program is a scam as well. As long as you can understand the product and explore it carefully, I believe you could earn a fair amount from it too.

Just like me, I found the secret to it and eventually created my own system and start making a good amount of extra cash every month. Give that product a try before you sentence it to death.

As for my case which I had mention in the thread.

Most of them start swearing when they didn't make single cents.

My instruction to them was 'Please follow my step'. But they choose to ignore and start scolding and use rude remark in the email that they didn't earn anything.

They don't follow instruction, how to earn?

I didn't even think about it being the older people, but that's true; my own mother thinks that. She's close to retirement age.

    I agree with Lewis.
When I`m trying to talk with my grand parents about IM they totaly don`t get it and think its some kind of a scam.
I guess there is no need to keep trying to tell someone about IM, `cause they will never get it.
And besides that everyone can express your thoughts in this forum where people with common interests are at

A lot of people know about IM.

However, I don't know why their mind has this word 'scam'?

If you explain to them, they show interest and slowly they will understand.

If those still stubborn and won't understand, it's alright. We shall happily go and earn our money online.

I've always had better luck explaining IM as a publishing service. I tell them that companies pay me commissions to publish information about their products and services. The family has an easier time understanding it that way.

People who don't know what is IM, then they will feel like "Magic" because the money will automatically roll into your account "while you sleep".

You will hear and read this from books or free seminar. :-)

It sound like not a real business but just doing some 'trick' to have the money roll into your bank account while you sleep.

When I tell someone I'm doing business on the internet, then most of them will give me a similar response like "WOW", "How you started?", "Can you teach me?", "I heard people say can earn a lot of money" and etc.

Actually their mindset has been set to think the IM like get rich quick and earn money like magic.

It's not their fault. Most free seminars, books and salesletter that sell how to make money online will tell "Make money while you sleep". It's just the client misunderstood the meaning and they don't know they need to put their effort on the beginning and earn money afterward.

I think people should be more educated regard IM.

They can earn while sleeping, but they need to do something first and not waiting for money to roll in auto.

    That is a great idea.

For me, I told them that it is an online business.

Quite a lot of people like to start up their own business.

There are so many ways to explain IM... Could anyone list some?

IM is just a media for those who are willing to pay the price and work hard before they can expect to make decent amounts of money. I don't know where the word scam comes from. There are scammers in every industry, it's not something that's limited to the online environment

Some expect to see immediate results and if not will start saying it's a scam, what they have to realise is building a business takes time and effort before you start to see any real results especially if you are using mostly free marketing.

Great to see you not giving up when your mentor would not help and drive yourself on to make your program work, shows great attitude. Well done.

    To your success,
    Bryan

Many products and services that fall under "Internet Marketing" are either scams or poor-quality. This gives the whole industry a bad name.

This is compounded by the fact that legitimate "make money online" products are very popular, but many buyers fail to act on the information given, and dismiss it as a scam or at best, an impossible proposition.

This makes it easy for outsiders to assume making money online is a scam - hence the problem.

I would charge them for the answer to their question then tell them it's not a scam at all while I give them the eqivalent they paid in the form of my "money making system" for what they perceive to be a FREE gift... I'm such a nice guy

Also, I'd add a coaching fee as a backend offer if they were really SERIOUS about getting in the game so i could hold their hand through their IM journey... I'm an absolutely terrific guy for doing that on a monthly recurring basis

People have been "programmed" by watching/reading too many media reports about phishing etc.

Like many things, it's the negatives that are highlighted, not the positives.

I don't lose any sleep over it.

    Cheers,

I myself am not a "super earner", but i had my days where i made $1k withing a few hours. in ONE day. Also, all my expenses, rent, new computers and whatever etc. are basically paid by clickbank

This proves that "IM makes money", right?

Now, i enjoy discovering strategies, and blogging about HOW to go about this, how to make your sites, your own products. For other people to make money also.
I am using my experience and "re-sell" this information.

Whether it works for the other person...depends how motivated the other person is. I do admit i spent 25hrs/daily IM/programminf/making sites, its a 100% full-time job. NOT something you can achieve in 2hrs/day.

I also don't have a doubt that there are SOME "super affiliates" which are indeed making $70k/$80k MONTH - if i tell my wife she never believes those claims.

But i "know" so many ways to make money online that i dont have a doubt its possible to make such amounts, its a question of motivation, consistency and positive attitude. If X can make $3000/DAY i can too. There is NO law in the world saying that i cannot or that anyone else cant.

Tell your family/friends about how much Allen makes, how much Shawn makes on DP just from Ads, how much Shoemoney makes or Darren, just having ONE blog or forum. We're talking HUGE, HUGE sums here. If they understand that its possible that 100.000 of people might visit a site every day, clicking on ads, then they might also understand the concept behind it and understand it doesnt really need to be "scams"
And thats only one aspect of IM. (Example of a high traffic blog).

That's exactly the point. Those who have been using computers their entire lives realize this. However, older generations have not had lifetime access to computers and many of them not only think making money online is a scam, but they also "would never buy anything online" because they are afraid it is not safe.

Good posting by Lewis. When I try to talk with family about internet marketing they don't believe it can work and think of it as some kind of swindle. I don't there will ever be an end to this kind of thinking to internet marketing, particularly in the older generations because they won't get it or make an attempt to understand it. I'm sure I'll win over my family though!

A lot of people do not understand that hard word is needed for success. They are angry that you are able to make a living doing what you love. That said, it does bother me when people say I am "playing with the computer."

I never tell a mechanic he is playing with cars.

If they're not initally making any money, I think the first thing they need to do is follow the instructions to the letter and follow through on the techniques they are applying. This is the typical cause of failure with any kind of internet marketing, not sticking with it! My 2 cents, lol!

This case is even rougher than your parents, my girlfriend thinks that info marketing is a pyramid and a scam.

That makes for a pretty rocky relationship as she has a heart for people and quit a job and went into business herself because she saw people getting put into houses they couldn't afford.

Now she helps them repair there credit and get homes they won't lose to foreclosure.

I always use hard-copy newspapers to explain the concept of IM - you identify a market/problem, place your ads, readers saw it and interested in your products/services, response to it (either call you or visit your shop)... and you sell them what the solution!

Isn't that IM all about? Just that everything is done online, it's just a change in marketing media / channel
