Freebie List VS Buyer List - Your Thought?
As we already knew , there are 2 common ways to build list.
A)- Give free gift in exchange for an email address .
B)- Obtain buyer list from people who buy our product.
Pros and Cons :
Option A) Far easier to build large list this way ... high percentage of people will sign up through opt-in form
Option B) Fewer people on the list because they have to buy product first, however they are more responsive .
A lot of people say that a "a freebie list" is much harder to monetize .. meaning a lot of them don't buy , however there must be some real buyers among them , isn't it?
I joined a lot of list in the past because of free gifts .. and I am actually a responsive buyer. I buy a lot of IM related products .
I am trying to build list using my free SEO web app but haven't yet incorporated aweber yet so I haven't tested the responsiveness of the list. I haven't even mailed them yet even once.
Traffic for my web app comes from organic traffic from Google, people type "free seo software" and "best free seo software" to find my site.
Questions :
Is there value from list build through free SEO software offering?
What is the predicted value of my freebie list? Say a buyer list worth of $ 1 / Mo . How much will my freebie list worth per subscriber/ per month? $ 0.10,0.20? I will focus on relationship and will only post helpful/useful tips before I mail them with offers.
I want to know your opinions first before I go serious in promoting my free SEO web app.
Thx!
