Reaching #1 in Google for that competitive keyword

Hi all,

For a while I have been optimizing for 'Feminization Hypnosis' for one of my pages but, last night I realised that I was already appearing at #11 for 'Feminization' - Of course I want to go for #1 and was wondering the best way to attempt this. Has anyone got a tried and tested formular?

Cheers

      Hi Lewis,

Thanks for this. Yeah I need to get some more. Any ideas where to get some good ones?

Yeah - most of these are from my affiliates I think. Do I still get PR trough affiliate links coming into my site?

I would use the digg 365 strategy and be sure to ping each digg that you submit to. Then I would use an RSS submitter to hit the high pr RSS sites using a word press blog from word press itself and drop your keywords into a short article.

Each time you do a squidoo update be sure that you ping your lens.

I would also try a video with a keyword rich title. I have grabbed front page for competing product keywords in less than 24 hours with video.

i took a quick look at the page you where talking about - personally i would actually look at your onsite optimization before getting any more backlinks...

this is what i would do...

    1) change your title tag to read: Feminization Hypnosis
    2) Change your keyword meta tags to: Feminization Hypnosis
    3) add a <h1> tag with the words: Feminization Hypnosis
    4) rename one of your images to: feminization-hypnosis.jpg and also give it an alt tag called "Feminization Hypnosis"
    5) bold or italicize any wording thats "Feminization Hypnosis"
    6) create an anchor text link back to the same page using... you guessed it: "Feminization Hypnosis"
    7) create an xml sitemap
    8) create an rss feed
    9) social bookmark that particular page...

this in a nut shell is your basic seo 101...

that alone with your current backlinks should start your move to higher grounds sooner rather than later...

i would also advise dropping the domain name from all your other title tags - people coming to your site already know what website they are on...

find digg pages that are older like 365 Days and post your links in there. Digg typically won't allow you to post links but in many of the old diggs that are unused you can get away with posting your links

I have gotten backlinks from many PR 5, PR 4, PR 3 running to my site using this strategy.

Here is a PR4 You can use for backlinks

Digg - It's ok Beckham, we understand [pic]

Once you enter your links just be sure to ping the page so the spiders go back for a revisit.

      Good luck!

        "Feminization Hypnosis"

Does NOT appear EVEN ONCE in your text as plain text...

Fix that. Lose a couple of the italics.

Some of the points listed above will help also.

Back links are not really an issue for this type of keyword. It's more about what you do ON page.

You need contextual text links (at least one) ON THE PAGE if you want to move upwards on G.

Use "Feminization Hypnosis" as the anchor.

I got rid of 5 of the bolded terms - so thats 4 bolded and 5 plain - will that work?

Not sure what you meant about the contextual text links. I only have one page on the site about Feminization Hypnosis, which is this page. Maybe I should link back to the home page??

I personally was able to get 3 sites on #1 for top keywords -
    1. Update your sites text constantly, do this not only with your text on the page but with the meta tags description as well - and make sure what is in th meta tag descripio can be found on the site as well in 100%

    2. backlinks in the form of 'your keyword' - get those links constantly and as many as possible.

    Hi Burtie,

I was just thinking make sure you have one link placed as close to the top of your source code that links to that page if you havent already - the anchor text again should be your keywords.

If you create an RSS feed for your site you can post it to numerous sites which will give you backlinks too, will digg out my list and post it for you.

You can always ping your site too... or your particular page, regarless of it being a blog or not - check out www.pingomatic.com this also allows you to include your RSS feed.
