How would you market a "Youtube Star"

So one of my best friends is actually a Youtube star and I'm trying to figure out how we can make money together. He has around 200,000 subscribers on Youtube and already has certain merchandises such as t-shirts, hoodies and bracelets already being sold.

I've been browsing around these forums for a bit and have found list building to be very vital to making money. So I believe that we're going to pursue that direction first and then create a product/ebook that we can blast off into our e-mails or tweet the link to more than 100,000 of his active followers as well.

My question that I have is:
1. Has anyone helped someone of this stature or with this much pull out before?
2. If so, what direction did you pursue.

Remember also that we are not trying to belittle his reputation by just blasting off PLR's or linking people to clickbank websites.

Thanks, let me know!

I assume you're already using the partnership program. You could try to add a CPA offer below (yeah, the reputation may suffer a bit).

Also, contact big networks in the niche, if he's good enough, he's probably get a nice contract with them.

Prefer to leave it anonymous until we figure out exactly what we are aiming for. I'll keep you posted though.

    Anyone else have any ideas?

i think more ideas could be generated if we at least know the niche

Hi bransun, I know the parents of "Harry and Charlie" who are still pretty much at the top of YT. I'd be happy to pass on your questions if you want.

They have steered clear of trying to monetise the actual YT clicks, just sending folks instead to a Charlie bit my finger website. I know they've had to be fairly aggressive to keep copyright matters under control, when every T-shirt seller under the sun wanted to make some cash off the interest!

I'm a subscriber to a handful of popular Youtube channels and from what I see, their primary source of income is from being a Youtube partner. They also all sell merchandise, but I'm assuming the bulk of their income is from being a partner.

Based off of how I see these popular Youtuber's living, I'm assuming being a partner pays pretty well.

Hi Martin that would be great if you could do that for me!
      Thank you.

And yes, the main source of income is obviously going to be from being a youtube partner. The income is rather generous haha.

But as of right now we're trying to find more ways to promote the brand, his channel and himself are an icon so we're trying to capitalize on extending the brand anyway possible.

I'm thinking of an ebook series because he has a lot of comedy skits but recently he has developed a sort of romance series. I've read somewhere that romance fictional novels have actually been quite the seller on amazon.

Still brainstorming for more though, let me know what you guys think!

I all depends on what kind of star you are talking about. Lots of people think they are stars but very few are.
