Where to place the list?

Ok darlings,

Imagine I have written a stunning landing page/squeeze page/capture page/opt-in page/whatever the hell you want to call it and I am offering a useful free ebook/video tutorial/piece of customized plr - well then where should I place this?

"On the internet" I hear you cry

"More detail" says I

Basically I am just a wee bit curious about the best way to position the capture page?

What is best folks

a) standalone page - because heh you are not aiming to rank this baby in googe serps anyway, you will find other means to drive traffic and in any case Google don't like the squeeze

b) within a blog - because you can add more "value" that way and play down the sales pitch a bit and instead inform the audience a little bit

c) within your own site

Most go with a) from what I can see because putting a squeeze page on a blog/site will not get you much google love? Is that correct?

Also is there any danger google will shut you down if you be planting squeeze pages all over her beautiful virtual garden?
