My new mission and what the craic is with ebook covers...?

After reading one of Allen's reports on cheap ebooks, I've decided to follow his advice as I think it sounds great.

I wrote an ebook about 6 months ago and I've begun to rewrite it to give away as a free gift.

I'd like your advice on what my cover should be. The aim is to create a series of titles that all have the same brand. I was going to call them: Genius Hacks

To give you an example, the first free ebook would be (Genius Hacks) Lucid Dreaming: A shortcut to your first lucid dream.

Then the second one would be (Genius Hacks) BLA BLA BLA: High Dive into the subconscious mind, etc.

So a series.

Now I'd like to know what's cool and what's not with an ebook cover. I was thinking of using something really basic, but cool. Not big cartoon pictures. Maybe something just black and white, with a basic logo of some sort.

Anyway, what do you think of the name Genius Hacks for a series, and what is cool these days with covers (or what do you think would go with my series)???

    Hard to give advice on what we think of two random words put together.

    It's up to you and your brand will only mean to others what it means to you. Genius Hacks means nothing to me until you make it mean something to me, ya know?

    As for your ebook cover. If you have no idea try 99 designs. Then you can simply pick the design you prefer and only pay for something you love.

    As for the topic - be sure to send me a copy as that does interest me. You know how to dream Lucid? Or more importantly: Teach it?

      Genius hacks just means shortcuts to become a genius. Along the same lines as life hacks.

      I'm getting a cover done for me. I just need an idea to take to the person doing it so I get what I want.

      Yeah I know how to dream lucid. It's not really hard if you put in the effort. As for teaching it, well I've not went to lucid dream school. I'm just laying out x easy steps to get your first one in as quick a time as possible.

      I'm experimenting with creativity in lucid dreams and I want to write a book about it. I'm just teaching people so when I come to sell my product they already know how to do it and can stay in the dream for longer than 10 seconds.

      Ask me for a copy in a few weeks or I'll forget.

      Try to think of photos that would compliment your product. Personally I would run with the word hacks. Do an image search on google for hacked or something similar and find a graphic you like. If you plan on branding you can use the same image with a little modification. For example when I think of hacks, a computer screen comes to mind. I would then change the product showing on the screen to what ever problem your product solves.
