How Do I Rank Quickly on Google with a Blogger Blog?

Hi guys

I've found a pretty untapped niche (thanks to a fellow Warrior). I was wondering whether I can get a high ranking quickly with a blogger blog.

I've posted some articles and made 3 squidoo pages so far...

Any more thoughts on what I can do?

You need backlinks. There is a Warrior selling a list of great backlinks for like $5. Check out the WSO section for that. But the most surefire way to increase your Google rankings is by getting more backlinks for your keyword.

I have been really excited lately about creating free themes with your link in the bottom. Its the subject of my new WSO (sig).

The cool thing is that in just an afternoon or two, you can get these free themes out into the world and they start to grow and expand. You can use this strategy to get backlinks in a number of ways.

I accidentally did this a year ago, and the site I linked to is now a PR4 with 2700+ inbound links... and growing daily. This is a site that has been dormant with no real content or updates (I just haven't needed to mess with it). I also rank #1 on Google for my keyword.

During my research for the WSO, I found a great example. On guy put out a few free themes in October 2008... they were nice, but relatively simple. Here we are 4 months later and he has about 50k inbound links from the themes!

4 months and 50k links? You can't manually replicate that... its the result of VIRAL actions...

Doesn't Google work that out and penalyse you?

Ron,

Did you use a keyword to link back to the site or just your URL? Say you were promoting a site on "organic health". Did you make your themes and then link back to your site with just "organic health" or did you mix it up using different keywords?

And was it using hidden text? Or was the theme aggrement to leave any links intact?
