Where are you promoting your free eBooks?

It is interesting for me, where and how are your promoting your free eBooks?

I've tried to submit my free eBook to Free-eBooks.net | Download free Fiction, Health, Romance and many more ebooks, but it was rejected. The book, which I tried to submit was my WordPress SEO Guide. What could be the problem that it was rejected?

Write guest posts and send the traffic to your ebook. This is what I have done in the past and it works great.

Your social media network offers a ready source of interested readers. Promote it there . Signature also helps, post in forums related to your niche. I read a post in WF about this search it and see.

  • It mostly depends on your technical aptitude,

I have used 3 methods for promoting free e-books that all work, different skill requirements and investment requirements.

    1) The Fancy Graphic / Video method, use a combination of great headlines and photo collages with video editing software to create a "useful" video, now that you have the source file intact just spend the hard work to modify it 20-30 times, naming each video filename+video title+keywords as a desired keyword, and launch them over the course of a week.

Using this method it is preferred that you send them to a web property that distributes the e-book, linked to one of your opt-in forms. + all the bells and whistles if you choose, and can scale it up or down.

    2) The IoS/Android method, create highly useful IoS/Android apps using whichever software/wysiwyg tools you prefer, and tailor them to a mobile opt-in list, build as many as you want depending on how many keywords there are to target.

Some apps can generate 100+ opt-ins a day, almost overnight. It just depends on if you are capable to spend the hard work to make an exceptional, useful, amazing free app.

Some apps will only generate 10 opt-ins a month, or less.

I started using Eclipse and ported them with multiple SDK's to reach different platforms, not anymore though. There are easier ways to achieve this now (App wysiwyg's) just be creative and do some Google searches.

    3) Forum/Yahoo answers method, there are strings you can insert into Google search that will return results of people asking for answers of something related to your problem, as well as blogs and forums of people interested in what your product may offer.

If you truly consider yourself an expert in the topic of your e-book, consider becoming active in various communities related to the subject, invest the time and you can surely take this initiative to the next level.

Hopefully something here can spark a great idea,

    Cheers

It is better to promote your ebooks through social media networks. This would help you to recognize your work and promote for all the readers your piece. Signature will help you too, also post your work in a forum that deals books. This would be easily great ideas for you.

Go write some guests posts on blogs, have bloggers interview you and you mention you are giving away your free eBook. Create some youtube videos, set up an adswap with other marketers these are just some examples of what you could do

From my experience it is nearly impossible to sell an ebook today. First of all, no one is going to trust you enough to buy from you if you are not well known (build up an online network first).

Secondly, most ebooks are total crap, unprofessional, and lack substance. Why buy an ebook for someone online when you can go to Amazon? At least you can trust Amazon and you get great prices too.

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble but selling ebooks is a horrible business to be in. You sometimes see offers for 1000 ebooks for 10 bucks or 30 bucks or whatever. These same sites claim that you can make so much money selling the ebooks.

Well, the reason they do this is because there is way more money to be made in selling ebooks to be resold as ebooks to other people than to sell the ebook itself for what it is.

You might not want to believe me but after years of experience what I put in this message is what I have found to be the case.

Are you just talking about getting traffic to a squeeze page?

Or do you mean submitting the free ebook somewhere for people to download?
