There are several ways of making money without relying on Google.

If you can, you should try article marketing as that seems to work with most people (provided you don't give up after a single article).

In a word: yes.

There are countless traffic sources out there. Google is one website (although it is a large one). It's easier than you think to diversify and have your traffic come in from hundreds or even thousands of sources (with something like article marketing for example).

Glad to see you are learning your lesson with Google though. Anyone who bases their entire traffic strategy (and therefore their entire business) on one website that they do not own is setting themselves up for disappointment at some point down the line.

People with clever tricks that they passed off as "SEO" sure made it seem that way for awhile. Truth is though that all of those rankings were built on the shakiest of foundations. You're experiencing personally how it all ends up: with slapped down sites and no money.

  The less you depend on Google as a traffic source, the more stable and reliable your business will be, in the long run.
  
  As so many Warriors have found out over the last year or so (some of them to their very great cost), a business that depends on Google for its primary traffic is only ever one algorithm-change away from an accident ... or even a complete disaster. Fortunately, there are many other, non-SEO ways of generating more reliable (and better quality) traffic.

It seems like the time to concentrate on the list.
Have you seen the new squeeze hosting with built in autoresponder.

That caught me before. Hosting set especially for squeezes. $4.99 a month.

Youtube uploads and video's in general seem to be blowing up bit,
the quality is improving so rapidly of late.

If you want to make money with Clickbank, Amazon, and so on. You need to build a site on your own domain as well as an e-mail list. There are, however, things that you can do to make money without Google like becoming a service provider like a ghostwriter or E-bay perhaps. I would totally give up on Google, though.

Since the week has started, my traffic has begun to rebound. With that said, my traffic probably didn't drop as much as a lot of other people's. Mine has only dipped a little bit. The only thing you can do is push forward. I'm in the midst of doing a review, which should help things along.

A lot of people never touch Google. Here are a few ways people drive traffic-

PPC
Article syndication
Affiliates
YouTube
Offline methods

Generally though, people don't use Adsense with these methods. They either do CPA, affiliate marketing, or sell their own products or services..

Since it all comes down to traffic and conversions what you're really asking is. How can I get eyeballs on my stuff without Google.

Article syndication is one of the better ways but what people don't get about it is it's mostly about building relationships with Ezines and site owners.

You tube can rock. Most of the you tube info is trash. There have been a swarm of the rank your video in 3 minutes or 7 minutes or? These methods generally only last a few hours to a couple of days.

Search the forum for what Alexa Smith has written. You will learn more from her free posts then you will get in most courses (on content syndication).

From any of these methods you should build your lists.

There are other ad programs besides Adsense. You can easily drive traffic to your site through social media sites and mailing lists. These have always been a favorite of mine since I was never particularly good at SEO.

Article Marketing is the way to go.

With all things IM if you get a good article that has quality content and is interesting to read you will increase your traffic. Articles that get in front of the right set of eyes will get syndicated and produce hundreds or maybe thousands of backlinks to your site. These backlinks are quality and are targeted traffic that is already interested in your product.

Therefore the traffic that you will be getting is primed and ready to buy not just a casual visitor.

I don't think that the difficulties you have will be solved by changing the product that you are selling.

You are making a fundamental mistake in the way you approach marketing.

If you were just "playing a game of SEO" you will most likely have the same approach in the next thing you do: another game, another way to make a few bucks.

What you are missing is the entire purpose of marketing, and I suspect that you couldn't even give a good definition of marketing. But until you can, and until you start providing a service or product with real value, you are unlikely to be successful.

One other thing: Professionals conduct themselves as professionals in whatever they do. You have chosen a field that relies heavily on communication.

You owe it to yourself to communicate as effectively as you can, and that takes practice. Written communication has certain rules, including puncutation and capitalization.

Professionals know this and make sure they use the correct forms in all their communication. This forum, and the posts you make within it, are a good place to start.

Yeah, SEO is a tough game. Google can change its algorithms any day and BOOM! you're on page 184 lol...

There are lots of ways to sell affiliate products. You need to find a business model that you enjoy and work hard on it. Track your efforts and see what is making you money and what isn't.

I would recommend to focus on building your email list.

You should visit this forum and read many posts. Internet marketing is quite complicated. You supposedly can make money without Google, but it would be good if you would be serious and learn all the alternatives you have at your disposal. Don’t do anything before understanding what you are doing and having a marketing plan.

It’s always a good idea to have at least three independent income streams, which could be related, even though this is not necessary.

Study and learn. Don’t start doing things without following a plan with a specific purpose.

Don’t take action before knowing what you are doing.

Affiliate marketing with programs such as clickbank, commission junction and amazon are definitely the best and more long term means of generating a good income. I actually combine my affiliate marketing with google adsense. I promote the affiliate programs and have adsense on my blog as well as a another source of income. Definitely agree with the comment saying you need to build a list. In order for affiliate marketing to work you absolutely need a mailing list or your affiliate marketing will be just like your adsense.

Creating your own product is also another way. Ebook is a good start. You can write on something that you are really good and has large customer base. It might be tough for newbies, but it's much more profiting than adsense or affiliate marketing in the long run.
