Promotion For Online Dating Website

Hello warriors!
What would you suggest for promotion a niche online dating website?
The site is free for fashion models (currently mainly from Russia and CIS) and fee-based for non-models (western wealth men implied).

As far as I know many dating sites are running CPA affiliate programs.
But I suppose we are not large enough for full scale CPA program.

Any advices highly appreciated. I'm rather a newbie in marketing.

    You've picked a very tough niche to start in. Getting men to pay for dating sites is very hard, especially when j6p can't afford the gas in his car, much less find a Russian bride.

      You are right, I'm rather a webdesigner/developer, it so happened that I have no partner for marketing now and have to do this part myself.

      We are not planning to get thousands of registrations now. Hundred will be good for the start. We have few hundreds models yet.

    You could take advantage of Fiver and people who are offer backlinks creation... If you target a good keyword and get on the first page you will get a lot of traffic and be able to implement some CPA campaing in a short time. Also Youtube is great for promoting dating sites because you can post some videos with girls from your site in swimsuits and then if the video get viral you will get a lot of men siging in on your website...

      Very questionable advice, since you can also get your site penalized or de-indexed, that way, as has happened to countless other Warriors over the last few weeks. Their threads describing what's been happening are all around you. Just use your eyes.

    Dating is not a tough niche, not at all. I started promoting dating sites less than 2 years ago and i am completely satisfied with what I have done and doing right now. It is a very profitable niche, so yes you niche is a good one and if you go in right direction, you can make lots of money.

    First thing you need to do is to optimise your site, make sure you do a perfect on site optimisation to expose your site to search engine.
    Then you need to build up quality backlinks to your site.
    Make a facebook page, bring fans to it [trust me I am making thousands per month from just my facebook pages traffic, who come to my dating site, and make payment]
    Youtube is a very vital tool to promote your sites.
    write articles about your sites,
    and more important is that you stay on this forum, read all interesting posts, see what other warriors are talking about, and see how you can implement their strategies on your site.

      You could write several dating articles and dating site reviews. Post a few of them on article directories and sites like Hubpages and Squidoo with a link back to your website. Share your posts on Facebook and Twitter, leave comments on dating blogs and sites, and answer people's questions about dating and relationships on Q&A sites.

        Any other ideas how we can target wealthy men?
        Because the site is for fashion models we have high subscribtion fee ($99 for a month) for non-models. So we need to target wealthy users, "sugardaddy" type.

        Is Google AdSense good for it? As I understood I can choose there specific websites for the ad.
        Maybe we should target financial websites in AdSense?

        Or maybe we should find a partner who offers CPA traffic from such sites?

    Men seeking Russian brides aren't generally wealthy. I can't get them to spend $20 on a dating site, let alone $100.

    Men who date Russian models are usually after girlfriends to join them on their boat or Dubai apartment. This is a good niche, if a shady one.

    Other than that, Russian dating has a poor reputation. You need to play the TRUST angle.

      I think you are talking about mail order brides niche. For example there is anastasiadate.com site, which has Alexa Rank around 7000 so I suppose it is very popular niche.
      AFAIK they charge money for each read or sent message ($16 for 2 messages) so I believe active user pays there much more than just $100 per month.
      But we are not positioning our site for whose only who are looking for brides, rather for dating in general.

      Yep, dating with real models is better fit for high income / sugardaddy types of user. And I suppose models also have no interest in users who have $20 only. Many models have excessive demands you know.
      So my problem is how to target such users in promotion.

    Have you tried ads with strict demographic targeting? Plenty of Fish might be a good place to attract the kind of men who would be interested in your site.

    I've tried Facebook Ads with demographic targeting for a week, got many clicks but almost no conversion.
    Thought about POF and match.com also, but didn't try yet - ad in AdWords still under review. Will try then how it works there.
