Default Aweber's new design screwy in IE

Ever since Aweber changed to that new design I've been unable to use the dropdowns in IE.

Everytime I need to add a {!firstname} or other tag I have to make sure I've opened it up in Mozilla or the dropdowns are unpickable.

Anyone else have that problem?

The exact same thing has been happening to me ever since they changed their site design.

I was wondering the exact same thing that you posted here.

It drives me nuts, so I wonder what the fixe is on this?

Frank and others...

Switch to Firefox.

Thanks for your attention to this matter.

Yes, you can fix it by using Shift + left click or scroll in some combination. Very irritating.

FireFox is cool, but not everyone uses it. I think Aweber should think of all their customers. It's not any different than optimizing a site for IE, that irritates FF users.

So, there is a workaround, but I can't remember the right combination off hand. Good luck.

Firefox browser is free and often superior to Internet Explorer.

You're certainly less likely to pick up viruses using the Firefox browser.

And Awber's system works just fine in Firefox.

It's also worth contacting Aweber and telling them about your problem.

Kindest regards,

lol.... for using IE.

Is this 1997 all over again. Find a new browser:
Firefox
Safari
Camino
etc.

Anything is better than IE. All web developers HATE (Not a strong enough word) IE.

Well most of us are Internet marketers and not web developers.

With that said I can say one thing is that from my Cpanel stats on all my sites, Internet Explorer still is the majority of users.

Firefox users seem to be about 20 to 40% of all the traffic.

Instead of people saying "use firefox" companies/develepers/web designers should test in the major browsers - at a minimum.

GetResponse told me that and my reply was basically:

"Your site doesn't list FireFox as a requirement and I refuse to use that memory bloated, poorly written browser that has more unpatched exploites than IE.

If your programmers arent competent enough to fix the error, I will be more than glad to take the 10 minutes and send you code that works on all browsers."

Yes, I was an ass but for anyone to tell someone to use a nonstandard browser is just silly. And yes, like it or not, IE is the standard browser.
