Default Camtasia 6 Live Link Question

When I preview my Camtasia videos after production they show live links, but after saving and then re-opening both the MP4 and SWF files, they do not link.

I know I'm producing to the right type of file (MP4/SWF-Flash Output)

Can anyone shed some light on this?

I want to upload to Youtube, but until those live links work, I can't

Thanks to all.

By "Live Links" do you mean Flash Hotspots?

If so, hotspot links will not work on YouTube...

When you say "do not link", is that trying to click them when watching the video locally on your computer? Do you get an error?

Yes, Flash Hotpots.

When I click on them I get nothing.

Is there any way other than Flash Hotspots to insert live links into youtube videos?

Not sure what you did wrong but...

No. There is no way for Hotspots to work on YouTube.

You can use YouTube Annotations to link to another YouTube video but no outside websites.

Unless you are Sony or other huge partners.

Hi BL,

You can use the Annotations feature to point to your URL in the info box on the upper right of the screen e.g.

Click on the right NOW for 7 more ways to cure acne >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Just make sure you have http:// in your URL in the video info or your site links won't be live.

My sample video doing this exact trick is here:

Best of luck.

If you watch the above video on YouTube, you'll see how it points to live links.

The above post proves how it doesn't work if your vid is embedded!
