What to email my list?

Hi I am fairly new to list building so I am wondering how you guys email your list?

Where do you find content to send out to them?

How frequently do you email them content?

How frequently do you pitch to them?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

hello, you have to start providing them good content and good offers, if I see an offer and like it, I get it and see if my people would love it too. you can combine your list and automate your process to subscribers to buyers, you have to be unique, like people will know you will send only free stuff or special offers or discounts. I send an offer every two weeks and go well

Well the last list i managed:

Where do you find content to send out to them?

I wrote a 7 day HTML course. Then i took articles from an article directory and scheduled them for once a week.

How frequently do you email them content?

    once a week

How frequently do you pitch to them?

every article had inline affiliate links, and some at the bottom.
it was pretty effective for my audience.

I'm just starting to build a list, but I only mail content they can use. It seems to me they need to like your advice before they'll buy from your link.

Ive been thinking and do you think this is a good strategy?:

*Mail out to your list articles from EzineArticles (and of of course edit them to make it sound more like an email and to remove any junk they may contain)
*At the end of the content filled email I squeeze in an offer related to the email.

You think if I do this for every mail I would get good conversions? The readers are still getting valuable content and have the option to buy something which can make the tips I share with them even better?

To me, building a list is all about creating trust and a relationship where you are seen as a leader in the niche and someone who is worth listening to.

So, my suggestion is start blogging, and share your ideas. This allows you to share content a couple of times a week, and also inform the list of new products that will always appear in a vibrant marketplace.

Try to inject your personality into your emails, and avoid the temptation to treat your list as a cash cow by sending out copy and paste emails where you just want commission.

Im gonna go ahead with the content + pitch approach where I share valuable tips then pitch a product that can automate those tips or improve on them

Just remember, don't stick to always providing just content + sales.

You're absolute main aim is to develop a relationship with your subscribers and build authority.

      Hint: Get personal, connect.

I personally write content that is unique and has my style of writing. If you are stumped on what to write, visit article directories and rewrite any articles that you find interesting yourself. Don't send to much information.

I know when I see an email from a list that I am on once or twice a day, I get a little annoyed, especially if they are trying to sell me something. Add value to your list and suggest a new product weekly or even bi-weekly.

Starting out, I would focus on building your list and getting your list to help you do so. For example post something that can go viral, like a free course or a new wordpress plugin. Hope this helps.

I agree with Andrew. You have to build trust and inject your own personality into your writing or videos. People like people who are naturally themselves and not some shyster just wanting money.

If you write from experience and be truthful, then your list will like you. If you are careful with the occasional pitch, then you should make a few dollars.
