Internet Marketing Advice Needed

I'll try and put it simply...

*Choose a niche (preferrably one you are passionate about and one that is in great demand and less competition)

*Learn as much as you can about it (and even if you are knowledgeable about it, learn more).

*Create products/sales funnel or find highly converting affiliate products to promote.

*Learn a marketing method (preferrably one at a time, focus until mastered)

*Build a list and maintain solid relations with them.

*Keep learning.

That's a very quick and simple overview. Anyone feel free to make any more suggestions?

I would start by asking yourself a couple questions...

What are your favorite things to do? Hobbies, skillsets, possibly your job already.

What are you most passionate about? Things you love, things that you fight for, a lifestyle maybe, anything you are passionate about.

Find the answers to those questions and you'll have a good start. Or, you can always look for a market that is less competitive and needs help or a solution that you could provide to it.

Apply marketing methods to these things and you'll be off to a good start! Start following the experts and Guru's in the internet marketing field. Frank Kern, Brendon Burchard, John Reese, Ryan Lee, Tristan Bull (A fellow Warrior member), etc. Follow success and it'll lead you to success... There is no other way to go but up!

If I could start over, I would find a mentor as soon as I could. This helps to focus your mind, it will help you avoid the information overload stage and generally make you accountable for your actions.
I would avoid a business model that relies exclusively on traffic from third party sources such as Google or Facebook as what works today wont work tomorrow.
I would concentrate on learning sustainable, ethical marketing skills that could be transferred to any niche.

Congrats on getting into IM! I would start with a dummies book or general book on IM such as the one by Christine Clayfield.

If you don't already have your own hosting account then you'll need one (you don't want to be building sites and promoting them if you don't own/control them). Pick a niche that you're interested in and can obsess over. Get familiar with wordpress.org sites and how to install and use them. Read up on things like keyword research, seo, how to build email lists and use autoresponders, affiliate marketing... You're going to be experiencing information overload big time, so be sure to stay focused. I recommend Getting things done with evernote system to stay organized. Good luck!

I want to make myself a successful internet marketer. As a newbie I am going through lots of forums,blogs and websites, who can actually help me to start. Find something you're passionate about then get better at it. Invest in trainings. Stay focused and consistent. Those are your biggest money makers. You can start out with a blog and blog daily.

You first need to decide or plan what you want to market. Something in the Health Market, or something in the Wealth Market, or something in the Lifestyle Market.

Then - you need to find a profitable niche within those markets. Once you find a profitable niche - you then need to find a sub-niche or "super niche" for a compelling offer that you will use on your squeeze page to begin building a list.

Once you begin building a list - you then market to that list, related products or services that they are interested in.

Get yourself a good Mentor and concentrate on building a list. This will be the best way to build a solid business. I wish I had done both these things rather than get distracted by all the push button rubbish out there. Keep away from that...!!!

When you have your product or idea set up a website or blog. (It's easier than you think) WordPress is a great blogging platform. You will want to pick a domain name based on your product or brand. Then Market!

My advice is: Remember internet marketing is just another avenue to reach customers. It's not a business in itself.

1. Pick a product or service you want to sell...an affiliate product, your own services, your own product, your own software, an affiliate software, etc

2. Create a free giveaway related to the product your selling that offers great value but also promotes the product you're selling.

3. Set up a squeeze page where you can drive traffic to. The traffic that lands on your squeeze page will have the opportunity to get your free giveaway in exchange for their contact info.

4. Pick an internet marketing traffic strategy and drive major traffic to your squeeze page.

5. Once you get their contact info, keep in touch with them. Give them more value, promote your product or products to them.

I'm aware that some of the words I used may be way over your head right now. But don't worry. Don't be overwhelmed. Eat the elephant one bite at a time.

Don't know a word? Take a few minutes and read up on it. Etc, etc.

What I gave you above is a terrific business model though. Stick to it. Don't get distracted by all the "latest and greatest" thing people will try to sell you.

It's too abstact question. The marketing is not something speicial. This is what we all do when we work, even if you are not a Marketer.

Once you've got your niche & sales funnel set up, master online marketing because that's absolutely key. The advice you got, to take one method and master it, before going onto the next method is good advice!

In my opinion that's and really big question for this kind of business, I Could go on, and on, here's what this business really about, find one program or niche that works for you, find one way to drive traffic to that niche, and stick with it till you make it work.
