Should I offer a fixed price or monthly payments for my service? Advice appreciated

Hey guys,

I have a small dilema.

I have started a business: i.e. delivering highly targeted customers to businesses.

I'm setting up my website and need to decide if what I offer will be for a fixed price or monthly payment plan.

I'm really in 2 minds about this because on one hand fixed price sounds better customers as they don't have to set anything up or create any bonds early on.

But delivering customers is also an ongoing process, so monthly payment plan will be better.

What would you guys do?

Any help or advice is appreciated

Thank you

Can't you split test the conversions vs income?

It really depends on the prices you're asking them I would guess (and how long they stay with the recurring commissions).

I would start out at a fixed price.

After you've developed some relationships with your client base and you're happy with the payment per work delivered, then possibly go with a monthly fee.

Also by starting out with a fixed price you'll be able to weed out the "low value high drama clients" that you'll no doubt run into along the way.

    Best of luck!

If your clients truly believe in you and your service(s), they should have no problem providing monthly payments.

We offer both. A fixed price or the option of payments. Of course, the payments amount to a little more than the fixed price.

I really dont think you have included enough information to give accurate advise.

I have always leaned towards memberships and monthly payments, but it really depends on what this is "delivering highly targeted customers to businesses" and if its online offline etc...

I am in a similar situation (internet marketing) and we offer fixed prices to our customers by default. The customers do have the option to request monthly recurring deals only after their first payment (so via their account)

I think that's the best way to work. Fixed deals are much easier and more attractice for first time customers, monthly deals are there for the ones that trust and like your service...

Can only speak from experience: There are lots of services out there that I would love to gain; however, the monthly fee always tends to put me off, unless they are offering totally unique and fresh stuff each month - which most membership sites dont.

Why not offer the option for both. I would also say at the beginning, if you go for monthly option, set the price to an affordable price for the masses.

And of course, if it is a genuine quality service that you offer - people will generally pay the going price.

I suppose another equation to take into consideration, is will having too many members cause you a lot of work and also be detrimental to the members experience. In which case you are probably better off getting 1 member paying $100 a month, as opposed to 5 members paying $20

    Good luck

It seems to me that the fixed price per lead would be more beneficial for both you and your customers.

They know how they will spend per lead and you know how much you'll get per lead. If they're willing to pay you for any leads you can throw them... you can control your monthly income amount.
